Nexon Back at No.1 Position for Tata Motors in September 2023 Sales!

Tata Motors in September 2023 did total sales of 44,810 units with them recently launching the Nexon Facelift, and Nexon.ev. In September, Nexon was the best-selling car for Tata with sales of 15,325 units while the Punch was the 2nd best-selling car.

In September 2023, the Nexon was back at No.1 for Tata Motors as the best-selling car with sales of 15,325 units over the 8,049 units in August 2023 with huge month-on-month growth by 90.39% and volume growth by 7,276 units. The huge increase in sales is because of the facelift launch of the Nexon in mid-September, and the amount of changes they made is truly insane. It’s got so much features that Hyundai Creta is nothing in front of it.

At 2nd position is the Punch SUV with decline in sales to 13,036 units by 10.23% compared to 14,523 units in August 2023. Tata Motors is at the moment working on the EV version of the Punch that’ll come with features even its ICE sibling doesn’t have like electric parking brake, 10.25-inch infotainment system, two-spoke steering wheel with display in between that illuminates Tata logo, and so much more. It’s expected to launch in early November 2023.

Moving on, Tiago is at 3rd position with drop in sales to 6,789 units from the 9,463 units in August with de-growth by 28.25%, and drop in volume by 2,674 units. At 4th position is Altroz with 6,684 units with decline in sales by 14.58% compared to 7,625 units, and Tigor at 5th position with 1,534 unit sales compared to 2,947 unit sales in August. Tata Motors had jointly updated the Tiago and Tigor iCNG with their dual-cylinder CNG setup to retain as much boot space as possible.

The Harrier and Safari at 6th, and 7th position with their sales down to 926 and 516 units respectively with dip in numbers approximately around 50% over the August sales. The drop in sales could be due to the upcoming facelift update for the Harrier and Safari has recently Tata Motors unveiled the interiors, exteriors, new features, and much more. Moreover, the bookings are open as well with launch expected to take place in mid-October 2023.
