Recent spy shots captured in Chennai by Weguide.auto unveil a camouflaged test mule, hinting at significant changes awaiting the SUV. Despite the concealment, noticeable alterations are evident in the side and rear profiles. The facelift showcases a fresh multi-spoke design for the alloy wheels, likely sized at 16 inches. Additionally, the covered tail-lamps suggest the inclusion of LED lights this time around. Another notable change is the adoption of a shark fin antenna on the roof, replacing the traditional micro-roof antenna.
While the interior details remain concealed, glimpses of a white dashboard hint at a potential lower or mid variant. The engine options are anticipated to carry over, featuring the same 1.0 L 3-cylinder engine lineup. This includes a naturally-aspirated variant generating 71.01 BHP and 96 NM of torque, coupled with a 5-speed manual or automatic (AMT) gearbox. The turbocharged engine option is expected to deliver 99 BHP and 160 NM of torque, available with a 5-speed manual or CVT gearbox.
We’re look forward to new features in the facelift, with expectations including front ventilated seats, a sunroof, auto-dimming IRVM, and possibly an upgraded infotainment system alongside a digital instrument cluster.
The anticipated launch of the facelift is slated towards the end of the year, as Nissan gears up to compete against a plethora of rivals such as the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza and Fronx, the upcoming Mahindra XUV300 Facelift, and the Renault Kiger.
