Punch leads the sales for Tata Motors in August 2023; Nexon Third Best-Selling!

Tata Motors in August 2023 did total sales of 45,515 units with them recently launching the Punch ICNG, and updating the Tiago and Tigor ICNG. In August, Punch was the best-selling car for Tata with sales of 14,523 units while the Nexon was the 3rd best-selling car.

In August 2023, Punch was the best-selling car for Tata Motors as it sold 14,523 units over the 12,019 units in July 2023 with big volume increase by 2,504 units. Tata recently launched the Punch ICNG and updated the features with sunroof, and new digital instrument cluster that brought new customers for them. Also, an electric version of Punch is expected to launch in early November 2023. At no.2 is the Tiago hatchback with 9,463 unit sales against the 8,982 units with 481 units of volume growth. Along with the Tigor, Tata updated the Tiago with dual-cylinder CNG to offer additional space in boot even after the CNG cylinders.

The Nexon is at 3rd position with 8,049 units which is dip in sales from the 12,349 units in July 2023 with decline in volume by 4,300 units. Tata recently unveiled the facelift for the Nexon and it’s a total exterior changes with major interior changes as well. This will surely boost the sales of Nexon for Tata for a very long time. The Altroz and Tigor at 4th and 5th position with sales of 7,825 and 2,947 with growth for both the models by 0.1% and 9.79% respectively. The Harrier and Safari did 1,689 and 1,019 unit sales with both reporting decline in month on month growth by 19.26% and 39.59% respectively.

Over the coming months, Tata will be launching the Harrier and Safari facelift in October 2023, then the Curvv EV sometime in 2024, Curvv ICE mid 2024, Sierra EV in 2025, Harrier EV is expected to launch possibly this year, and Safari EV in late 2024.
