Hyundai Motors India as reported its highest ever annual domestic sales of 6 Lakh in 2023 which is 9% more than it recorded in its previous year.

Hyundai Motors India reports domestic sales of 42,750 units which is an year-on-year growth by 10.09% compared to last year with 38,831 units with volume growth by 3,919 units. However, when it comes to exports, Hyundai exported 13,700 units in December 2023 which is a year-on-year de-growth by 27.97% compared to 19,021 units last year. In Cumulative, total December 2023 sales were 56,450 units down from the 57,852 units last year reporting decline by 2.42%.

The month-on-month sales aren’t looking so good for Hyundai either as it reports 13.55% decline over the November sales. Moreover, the exports are down with 16.20% de-growth and this means that 2,650 units were less exported to other international markets. The cumulative sales compared to November 2023 have dipped by 14.21% with decline in growth by 9,351 units.

So, the Hyundai Motors in 2023 total domestic sales were 6,02,111 units which is a huge year-on-year growth by 8.97%; the Exports went up as well to 1,63,675 units in 2023 from 1,48,300 units resulting in 10.37% growth. The total overall sales of 2023 was 7,65,786 units which is up by the 9.11% from the 7,01,811 units in 2022.
On achieving the 6 lakh sales mark, here’s what Mr. Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer of HMIL, had to say, “In the momentous year of 2023, Hyundai Motor India witnessed a watershed moment by achieving its highest-ever domestic sales of 6,02,111 units, achieving a respectable 9% growth over LY sales volume. HMIL has not just kept pace but surpassed industry growth, a testament to customers choosing brand Hyundai as their preferred mobility brand. Also in 2023, we proactively expanded our annual production capacity by 50,000 units to meet the increasing demand from our customers.”
Right now, Hyundai is busy in preparing the global unveil of the new Creta Facelift on January 16th, 2024, then launch of the Alcazar Facelift possibly before March 2023, then the Tucson Facelift launch in the late 2024, and the Creta EV launch in the early 2025.
