Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched couple of models this year.They still have one in pipeline in the form of New Ertiga 2018, which is slated to debut in India on November 21,2018.
New Ciaz was one of the premium products of MSIL which was introduced with all new 1.5-litre K15 petrol engine in August and also new-generation Swift which has remained in the top 5 highest selling cars list for months since it’s launch.
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross was launched couple of years back with only two diesel powertrains – 1.3-litre and larger 1.6-litre diesel engine.But the crossover did not stand upto the expectations of Maruti Suzuki and Maruti started offering huge discounts on S-Cross.
Last year, Maruti launched the facelifted version of S-Cross with many stylish updates plus add-on features and removed the 1.6-litre diesel unit.This update resulted in growth in S-Cross sales and provided a tough competition to it’s rivals.At the moment, Maruti S-Cross has a sales figures of around 3,000 to 4,000 units.
In August 2018, an ad regarding the launch of S-Cross petrol was placed by NEXA official website on google which gave information regarding S-Cross petrol including its engine details along with its price and launch.This ad was then removed by NEXA official website.

Latest News:As per the latest report, Maruti will be introducing petrol version of S Cross in the second half of 2019 and it will be derived from Ciaz Facelift which comes with 1.5 L K15 unit.
In terms of exterior looks and design, S-Cross petrol will look exactly identical to the present S-Cross diesel except that it will not get DDiS badging.At the front, it sports vertical chrome grille with big lower grille and faux skid plates for wider stance.
S-Cross also features projector type headlamps with LED DRLs and fog lamps with L-shaped chrome surround and big air dams.Moving to the side, S-Cross sits on 16-inch machined alloys.Rear profile looks equally stylish as the front.It gets LED Rear Combination Tail Lamps.The rear section of the crossover looks compact and will come with smart hybrid badging.

S-Cross features premium all black cabin with satin chrome inserts on certain elements.The top-trim gets leather armrest, leather upholstery and leather wrapped steering wheel.The crossover scores quite well in practicality and comes with a 353-litres bootspace.
Maruti Suzuki has loaded S-Cross with premium and practical features across its range.The Alpha model boast features including 7-inch Touchscreen Infotainment System with Apple Carplay, Android Auto and Navigation, Steering Mounted Audio and Calling Controls, Engine Push Start/Stop Button, Auto Headlamps, Auto A/C and 16-inch machined alloys.
S-Cross will be loaded with a number of standard safety features including Keyless Entry, Central Locking, Engine Immobiliser, Driver & Co-driver Side Seat Belt Reminder Lamp & Buzzer, Reverse Parking Sensor, High Speed Warning Alert, Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock and Impact Sensing Auto Door Unlock.
Top-class safety features are offered on S-Cross.S-Cross petrol version like its diesel counterpart will get class leading safety features including All Four Disc Brakes, LED Projector Headlamps, Auto Headlamps, Auto Dimming IRVM, Rain Sensing Wipers and much more.
Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Petrol will follow the same variant range as of diesel S-Cross.The trim lineup of the car will begin from base Sigma variant and go upto the top-spec fully loaded Alpha variant.So total variant lineup will be:
S-Cross Petrol will be offered in a total of 5 colour schemes – Nexa Blue, Premium Silver, Granite Grey, Pearl Arctic White and Caffeine Brown.
It may also come with dual tone colour paints like it is offered in Vitara Brezza.S-Cross Petrol is expected to get a contrasting black roof.This black roof will be offered with Nexa Blue and Pearl Arctic White.
Maruti S-Cross will get the new 1.5-litre petrol 1462 cc SHVS hybrid engine which was launched in New Ciaz 2018 and will make to Maruti Ertiga 2018.This 1.5-litre K15-series petrol unit outputs 103.5 HP at 6000 RPM and 138 NM of peak torque at 4400 RPM.This unit will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or 4-speed AT gearbox.
The 1.5-litre petrol SHVS engine will churn out 20 kmpl for the automatic unit while the manual petrol motor will make estimated average of 21.2 kmpl.
Price of Maruti S-Cross Petrol will start from Rs. 8.10 Lakhs (Prices,Ex-Showroom) and for the basic SIGMA trim.The top-end Alpha trim will get a price tag of around Rs. 11.45 Lakhs.Like the diesel one, petrol variants will also be available across the range.

Maruti S-Cross petrol is expected to launch in India in late 2019.The NEXA ad said revealed that S-Cross petrol will make way to India in October 2018.But it will be released in India only in October or November 2019.
