A few months ago, Skoda was spotted testing the Enyaq iV in India. Recently, they showcased the EV at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024 and it garnered attention of many automotive enthusiasts. Now, they’re having an event on 27th February. Here’s everything you need to know –

The Skoda’s electric SUV is built on Volkswagen’s Group Born-electric MEB Platform, which is also used for the VW ID.4 and Audi’s Q4 e-tron. The Enyaq iV SUV has dimensions of 4649 mm in length, 1827 mm in width, 1616 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2765 mm and a boot space of 585 litres. It’s slightly smaller than the Kodiaq SUV and only has two rows of seating. Additionally, it boasts a low drag coefficient of 0.27 cd.

Internationally, the Enyaq iV offers multiple battery pack options including 50 kWh, 62 kWh, and 82 kWh. In India, the range-topping 80x variant is expected, equipped with a 77 kWh battery pack and dual motor setup, delivering 261.5 BHP and 425 NM of torque. It claims a WLTP range of 521 km and accelerates from 0 to 100 KMPH in 6.9 seconds with a top speed of 160 KMPH.
Charging options include a 13-hour charge time from 0 to 100% using a 7.2 kW Wallbox AC Charger, or 7 hours and 30 minutes with an 11 kW Wallbox AC Charger. On a 50 kW DC Charger, it can charge from 5 to 80% in 1 hour and 20 minutes, providing a range of 390.75 km. This time reduces to about 38 minutes on a 125 kW DC Charger.
Skoda is expected to announce the price of the Enyaq iV during the 27th Feb Event. Initially, it will be brought to India through a CBU (completely built-up) route, but there’s a possibility of local assembly later on. Likely to be positioned between the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Kia EV6, the Enyaq iV is expected to be priced around Rs. 55 lakh in order to stay competitive in the market.
