Stray animals can lead to severe accidents on the road, and a recent incident involving a Tata Altroz highlights the risks associated with such situations. The car’s owner, Balaji, shared the details of the accident, which occurred with his new Tata Altroz purchased in March 2023. He had managed to keep the car in pristine condition until that point.
Balaji recounted how the accident unfolded. While traveling at a speed of approximately 90 kmph on the highway, a dog suddenly suddenly came in front of his Altroz. In a bid to avoid harming the dog, Balaji swiftly applied the brakes. Unfortunately, the Tata Hexa, following closely behind the Altroz, couldn’t react in time and collided with it.
The impact was forceful, causing the Altroz to lose control and spin. Fortunately, the sturdy guardrails along the highway prevented further damage, ultimately saving the car. Balaji expressed his satisfaction with the Altroz’s build quality, as there wasn’t a single scratch on him. However, he noted that passengers in the rear seat could have been at risk due to the impact from behind. Following the incident, Balaji had to purchase a new Altroz, as the insurance company declared the previous one a total loss. The entire insurance claim process took approximately 3.5 months to conclude.
In order to drive safely, and to avoid hitting other cars to save animals, here is the some things that you should remember:
Remember that safety for both yourself and the animal is a priority when driving in areas where stray dogs may be present.
