Tata Altroz iCNG – What you need to know!

With the increase in prices of Petrol and Diesel, many carmakers are shifting their focus towards the Petrol, Diesel alternative, CNG fuel option. A new vehicle with CNG fuel option is going to be launched by Tata Motors in the form of Altroz. Tata Motors had showcased the Altroz iCNG at the Auto Expo held in January 2023 along with the Tata Punch that is scheduled to launch with iCNG option in the coming months.

The Booking for the Altroz iCNG is opened at Rs. 21,000 with deliveries from next month. The Altroz iCNG is more practical hatchback than the Maruti Suzuki’s Baleno CNG which has one big CNG cylinder in the boot eating almost all the space. But since the Altroz has two cylinders of 30 litres each which will take the space horizontally covered with hard plastic that is easily removable. Thus, with the CNG covered, it offers more boot space and looks better than a big cylinder in your boot eating all the space.

Apart from this, Tata Motors has added features in the Altroz which will be seen for the first time in this model. It get features such as sunroof, and digital instrument cluster similar to the one you’ve seen on the Tiago. In the teaser the sunroof and the digital instrument cluster can be seen. The other variants of the Altroz will be getting the Sunroof and the digital instrument cluster as well, but which variants will get this two features remains to be seen.

There is also separate fuel bar in the digital instrument cluster for the CNG level and also shows on which the fuel car is currently on. To switch to CNG, Tata has added a button next to the engine start/stop button, so you can switch to CNG whenever you want.
