Tata Altroz Interior Detailed in New Images, Official bookings to open soon

Tata Altroz has been spied testing a number of times on the Indian roads.Tata 45X has among one of the major highlights along with H5X aka Tata Harrier.Tata Altroz was also seen in its near production form at Geneva International Motor Show along with its electrified version as well.

Some of the teaser images of the upcoming hatchback have come up today on social media which includes the images of the dashboard, steering wheel, instrument cluster, floating type infotainment system as well as dashboard.

Tata Altroz will be based on the modular as well as flexible ALFA platform which will also be underpinning the upcoming micro SUV codenamed H2X by the carmakers.Altroz is based on IMPACT 2.0 design language.

In terms of exterior, it gets sharp design with stylish projector headlamps at the front while connecting with Tata’s humanity grille.The fog lamps are placed just below the headlamp setup with bigger air intakes for better stability and aerodynamics.

Most of the customers are always concerned about the interior design and premium cabin always is a plus point for the car.All the premium hatches have got a very premium cabin and Altroz won’t be staying behind at all.It gets a very sporty and sleek designed steering wheel which houses a number of controls including cruise controls as well.

The main highlight will be the semi digital instrument which looks very futuristic with a lot of information as well.This instrument cluster is similar to that of Harrier and is also a class leading feature as well.It will be loaded in terms of modern connectivity and features with the attention stealing island type 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay, android auto, voice commands, images and video playback.It will also get 4 speakers along with 4 tweeters.

In terms of dimensions, it will be kept under 4 metre and specs will be at par with its rivals.The boot space will be more than 300 litres and the ground clearance will be more than Baleno, Glanza and Elite i20 as well.

In terms of features, it boasts class leading feature of ambient lighting, automatic ac, electrically adjustable and foldable outside rear view mirror, steering mounted controls, multiple drive modes, semi digital instrument cluster, rear air con vents, 60:40 split rear seat function as well as armrest with storage, push start stop button with keyless entry.

Safety equipments includes 6 airbags, high speed alert system, rear parking camera with sensors, follow me home headlamps, rear defogger and washer plus wiper, ISOFIX child seat mounts, speed sensing auto door locks, ABS with EBD, front seatbelts with pretensioner and load limiter.

It will be available with a variety of engine as well as transmission options.It will get two types of petrol engines as well, one derived from Tiago which will be limited to the lower trims while there will also be another from Nexon which will be detuned for Altroz.Altroz will also get 1.5 L Diesel engine powering Nexon producing 260 NM of torque but it will be slightly detuned as well.

Tata offers Nexon with manual and automatic option both for petrol and diesel options and Tata is also going to load Altroz with the same as well.It will be drawing power from both manual and automatic transmission and Tata is also working oil DCT automatic option as well.

Like the Harrier and Nexon, Tata Altroz will undercut its rivals by a big margin.The price will start from as low as 5 lakhs and top end fully loaded model will cost around 9 Lakhs (Prices, Ex Showroom).

Tata Altroz official bookings are expected to be open by the end of this week and will be launched in India in August 2019 only.Tata Altroz will be among the few to be launched in the same month.It will be the second car by the carmakers for the year 2019.They also have 7 seater Harrier in pipeline for this year with a number of facelift models and electric version coming up in 2020.

Tata Altroz is entering in a segment which has the capability to churn out great sales figures.Take for example, Maruti Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20 both of them making of top 10 selling car list everytime.And the all new entrant, Toyota Glanza is also standing up to the expectations with around 2000 units sold in the debut month.

The recently launched Harrier SUV by the carmakers is threatening the likes of Hyundai Creta and other rivals.Tata Motors want to replicate the success of Harrier with its new Altroz hatchback.Given the safety equipment and competitive price, it will surely be giving a nightmare to the top competitors.
