Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Unit MD, Shailesh Chandra during the Punch EV Launch said, “As far as the upgrade of the Punch is concerned, you know that it was launched in October 2021; typical facelift period is three years. So, the design language we’ve seen on the new Punch.ev, and on the Nexon and Harrier Facelift, we expect the styling to similar like connected LED DRLs, vertically positioned split LED Projector Headlamps, changes to front bumper and grille, and little tweaks to the X-shape LED Tail Lamps. Moreover, there will be some bits to differentiate the ICe version from the EV version.
The interiors will likely look the same like free-standing 10.25-inch infotainment system and digital Cockpit Cluster; rectangular AC vents, 2-spoke steering wheel with logo illumination, touch-sensitive HVAC console, and much more. However, when it comes to features, it’ll get Ventilated Seats, Rear Disc Brakes, Air Purifier, etc. but won’t get the Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold, since the ICE version of Nexon doesn’t get this feature.
As far as Engine Options is concerned, there won’t be any mechanical changes and will continue to be powered by the 1.2 L Petrol Engine producing 86.63 BHP and 115 NM of torque paired to 5 Speed Manual and Automatic Gearbox. Notably, it’ll also continue to get the CNG Option too.
