Tata Gravitas Interior Spied Ahead of Launch at Auto Expo 2020

Tata Motors will be showcasing a total of 12 cars at Auto Expo 2020, 4 of which will be SUVs.BS6 versions of existing cars will be showcased along with facelift and new models as well.

Among these, Tata Gravitas which was earlier seen at Geneva Motor Show 2019 will be showcased as well as launched at Auto Expo 2020.Basically, Gravitas is a 7 seater version of Tata Harrier.However, the interior of Gravitas spied also reveals the 6 seat layout as well which means that the SUV will be offered in 6 as well as 7 seater configuration options.However the captain seat trims will be reserved for the higher trims only.

In terms of dimensions, it will be 63 mm longer and 80 mm taller than Harrier and to distinguish it from Harrier, it would get a taller rear and a bigger third row glass as well.Like the Harrier, Gravitas will also utilise the same OMEGA architecture.

Under the hood would be the same 2.0 L 4 cylinder fiat sourced Diesel engine.But Gravitas will get a more powerful state of tune than Harrier.For Gravitas, it would make 170 PS of power and 350 NM of peak torque.There will be option of both 6 speed manual and 6 speed automatic transmission.Tata is also developing 1.6 litre petrol engine drawing power from dual clutch transmission which will make way to both Harrier and Gravitas in the later half of 2020.

The latest interior shot reveals that Gravitas will get light cream seat upholstery instead of the brown one seen in the Harrier.Tata Gravitas would also be more feature loaded than Harrier.It will get electronic parking brakes, panoramic sunroof, 18 inch alloys among other features.

Gravitas will be around Rs. 1 Lakh pricier than Harrier.Tata Gravitas will carry a price tag of Rs. 15 Lakhs to Rs. 19 Lakhs (Ex Showroom).Tata Gravitas will be sharing healthy competition with Mahindra XUV500 and upcoming MG Hector Plus.
