Tata Harrier Facelift against the Kia Seltos!

Tata Motors is very soon going to launch the Harrier Facelift which will come with major changes, and so we thought why don’t we compare it against the Kia Seltos to see if booking Harrier Facelift is the right choice.

Tata Harrier Facelift vs Kia Seltos – Design

From the outside, the new Tata Harrier Facelift has undergone big exterior changes such as the front fascia as been changed completely with changes to the grille, bumpers, and headlamps. A full-width LED strip is above the grille that spans across the front body, an significant features of the Curvv concept. It has ADAS Radar panel at the bottom grille and the camera at the top of the windscreen from the inside. Moving to the side, it has simple look with creasing, thin wheel arches and rides on the new 18-inch alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, changes extend to the bumpers, skid plate, and wrap-around signature connected LED taillamp that from the side resemble the S shape.

Kia updated the Seltos with a bigger grille with extended LED DRLs on it, cuts and creases on the bonnet for a sporty and aggressive look, four LED cubes positioned vertically acting as Fog lamps, the bumpers are faux silver skid plate, and just above the bumpers it has radar panel for ADAS. Moving to the side, the body has few cuts, thin wheel cladding for the 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails on the top, chrome line on the bottom of the window lamp that extends till the D-pillar, and chrome door handles. At the rear, it has L-shaped Caren inspired LED taillamps connected by LED light bar with KIA logo at the center, small spoiler on the roof with shark fin antenna on top, and dual exhaust for turbo variants.

Talking about the interiors, the Harrier Facelift undergone some changes as well like the new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is sleek, thinner, and very responsive, new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster that is configurable, and displays navigation maps while driving, in front of the cluster is the new four-spoke steering wheel with display at the center that illuminates the Tata logo, and ambient light across the dashboard, and around the voice-assisted panoramic sunroof. Below the AC vents, it features touch-sensitive panel to control the dual-zone climate control, and other things.

In front of it is the rotary dial for the terrain modes, steptronic gear shifter, and electronic parking brake with auto hold function. It features an fixed armrest but the space inside is good enough to store two cans. On the leather seats, it features huge adjustable headrests to keep you comfy, and further enhances the luxury appeal. Both the seats are electrically adjustable, and comes with ventilated seats. Moving to the rear, the seats are split in 60:40 ratio, and it’s equipped with 10 Speaker JBL sound system.

From the inside, the Seltos Facelift has one big display unit with two 10.25-inch displays – one for digital instrument cluster, and for infotainment system, and has new layout for the automatic climate control. It has a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, the pedals is finished in black, and now it has panoramic sunroof. Around the gear lever, it has buttons for ventilated seats, wireless charging pad, rotary dial for driving modes, two USB Charging ports at front and rear, electric parking brake with auto hold function, and sun-blinds for all the windows. Moving to the rear, the seats are split in 60:40 ratio that can be reclined as well, multiple colors for ambient lighting and it has 8-speaker Bose Premium sound system.

So, from the outside, the Kia Seltos very stylish, sporty, and cool while Harrier looks sporty, and rugged. However, both the SUVs interiors are amazing, it’s an 50:50 for me, both the carmakers nailed the interiors.
