Nexon is the Best Selling Model for Tata in Sales in May 2023

Tata Motors reported 45,880 units sales in May 2023 with 5.86% growth over the same period last year with Nexon roping in more numbers.

Tata Motors has revealed the cumulative domestic sales of May 2023 and it has done sales of 45,880 units which is up by 5.86% from the 43,340 units in May 2022.

Tata Motors May 2023 Sales

Tata Motors recorded 45,880 units in May 2023 finishing at 3rd position on the overall manufacturer’s sales table. Only 7 models were sold in May 2023 and they’re – Nexon, Punch, Tiago, Altroz, Tigor, Harrier, and Safari. At the Auto Expo held in January 2023, had showcased the Red Dark Editions of the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari. Moreover, it had showcased the i-CNG version of the Punch and Altroz with the Altroz iCNG launched few weeks ago in May.

The Nexon was sold the most for Tata Motors in May 2023 with sales of 14,423 units which is decline in sales by 1.31% over the 14,614 units in May 2022, and month-on-month decline is 3.86% from the 15,002 units in April 2023. Tata Nexon dominates the compact SUV segment because of the features, and crazy safety it has to offer making people buy the Nexon over other SUVs. Tata Nexon will be getting the facelift update in August 2023 with productions beginning from July 2023. At 2nd position is Tata Punch with sales of 11,124 units in May 2023 which is 8.62% up from the 10,241 units in May 2022, and the month-on-month sales is up by 1.74% from the 10,934 units in April 2023. Tata Motors will be launching an i-CNG version of the Punch possibly in July 2023, and electric version of the Punch is in works with launch before the end of this year.

Tata Motors May 2023 Sales

Tata Tiago is at 3rd position with sales of 8,133 units in May 2023 which is 78.32% year-on-year growth from the 4,561 units in May 2022. However, the month-on-month sales is in decline by 3.75% from the 8,450 units in April 2023. Tata Altroz reports sales of 5,420 units in May 2023 from the 4,913 units in May 2022 which is up by 10.32%, and the month-on-month sales is up by 16.36% from the 4,658 units. Tata recently launched iCNG version of the Altroz and added new features in the model as well like sunroof, and digital instrument cluster.

Tata Tigor is at 5th position with sales of 2,701 units in May 2023 which is in decline by 32.05% from the 3,975 units in May 2022, and month-on-month decline is by 14.36% from the 3,154 units in April 2023. The Harrier is at 6th position with 2,303 units sales in May 2023 which is down by 17.57% from the 2,794 units in May 2022, and month-on-month growth is down by 17.25% from the 2,783 units in April 2023. Tata Harrier receive some best update like ADAS which is a great thing for an SUV of that size.

Lastly, the Safari did sales of 1,776 units in May 2023 which is down by 20.79% from the 2,242 units in May 2022, and month-on-month sales is down by 12.47% from the 2,029 units in April 2023. The Safari along with the Harrier had received the ADAS update, and Safari is the only SUV in it’s segment to feature ventilated seats in second row.
