Tata Motors just released a big update for it’s Harrier and Safari SUV bringing new features and new colour options!
Tata Motors has introduced significant updates to its flagship SUVs, the Tata Harrier and the Tata Safari, enhancing their appeal with new features and expanded color options. Notably, both SUVs now come equipped with an upgraded Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which includes new functionalities like lane-keep assist and auto emergency braking. These improvements have been deployed through over-the-air (OTA) updates, ensuring a seamless experience for current owners.
Enhanced ADAS Features
With the latest update, the Tata Harrier and the Tata Safari now boast a comprehensive ADAS suite comprising 12 advanced functionalities. These include the newly added lane-keep assist and lane-centering assist, alongside existing features such as traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, rear collision warning, overtaking assist, and more. This update positions Tata’s SUVs competitively in the market, enhancing driver safety and convenience.
Comprehensive Safety Package
Both the Tata Harrier and the Tata Safari are equipped with robust safety features, reinforcing Tata’s commitment to passenger safety. Standard across all trims are six airbags, while the top variants include up to seven airbags. Additional safety features include a 360-degree surround-view camera, electronic stability control, emergency call functionality, a tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and hill hold control.
These SUVs were the first models to undergo testing under the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP) and secured impressive five-star safety ratings. This recognition comes after their five-star performance in the Global NCAP crash tests, where they scored 30.08 out of 32 points for Adult Protection and 44.54 out of 49 for Child Protection.
Updated Color Palette
Tata Motors has also diversified the color options for both SUVs, making premium colors more accessible across different trims. The Tata Harrier now offers the Ash Grey color on higher trims such as the Adventure and Fearless, previously limited to the Smart and Pure trims. The Seaweed Green, once exclusive to the Adventure variant, is now available on the Fearless trim.
The Pebble Grey and Coral Red colors, initially available only on higher trims, have been extended to the lower Smart and Pure trims. Meanwhile, the Lunar White color is now standard across all trims, whereas the Sunlit Yellow remains specific to the top-spec Fearless. The Dark Edition with its distinct Oberon Black finish continues to be available only on the top three trims.
The Tata Safari’s color lineup has also been refreshed. The Stardust Ash and Galactic Sapphire options, once reserved for higher trims, are now offered on the lower Smart and Pure trims. The Lunar Slate color is now available on the Adventure and Accomplished trims. Additionally, the Supernova Copper, previously exclusive to the Adventure variant, is now featured on the top-spec Accomplished trim.
All trims of the Safari offer the Stellar Frost color, while the Cosmic Gold is reserved solely for the highest variant. Like the Harrier, the Safari Dark Edition with its Oberon Black finish is restricted to the higher three trims.
