In March 2024, Tata Motors sold a total of 50,297 passenger vehicles, which included 6,738 electric vehicles. This represents an growth by 6,072 units compared to March 2023, indicating a positive trend in sales growth. In the same period last year, March 2023, Tata Motors recorded total vehicle sales of 44,225 units, including 6,509 units of electric vehicles, reporting big improvement in sales performance this year.

During the fourth quarter of the FY2024, Tata Motors achieved total domestic sales of 1,55,010 units, surpassing the sales from the fourth quarter of FY2023, which stood at 1,34,893 units in total domestic sales. For the FY2024, Tata Motors reported total domestic passenger vehicle sales reaching 5,70,955 units. In comparison, FY2023 witnessed total domestic passenger vehicle sales of 5,38,640 units.
This Financial Year marks the third consecutive year of Tata Motors recording the highest ever sales. Retail sales growth, measured through Vahan-based data, has shown an increase of around 10% compared to FY2023. The company has also seen healthy growth in vehicles powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) and electric vehicles (EVs), contributing nearly 29% of the overall sales. Tata EV sales have reported a growth of 48% compared to FY2023.
In the fourth quarter of FY2024, Tata Motors achieved its highest ever wholesales, with 1,55,651 units sold. They also marked the highest number of EVs sold in a quarter, with 20,640 units sold in the fourth quarter of FY2024. In March 2024, Tata Motors crossed sales of 50,000 units for the third consecutive month.
