Tata Motors revealed the October 2023 Sales and it reports 82,954 units with the demand for the electric vehicles year-on-year growth was about 27.76%.

Let’s dive into the passenger vehicle sales first. Tata Motors did domestic sales of 48,337 units in October 2023, and this sales figure also includes electric vehicle line-up which includes – Tigor EV, Tiago EV, and Nexon EV. Soon to be joining the list is the Punch EV, Harrier EV, Safari EV, and Curvv EV that are coming by next year. Additonally, the domestic sales reports growth in year-on-year sales by 6.90% compared to 45,217 units in October 2022.
Exports however, reports growth by big margin. The exports in October 2023 were 300 units which has improved by 45.63% against the 206 units in October 2022. This takes the total passenger vehicles sales to 48,637 units which is up by 7.07% compared to 45,423 units in Oct. 2022. Electric vehicles sales which includes exports and domestic sales figures are also improving significantly as it reports 5,465 units in October 2023 which is 27.76% growth over the 4,277 units last year.

Time to dive in the Commercial Sales now. The Commercial Sales performance are better with Tata Motors reporting 4.26% growth from 32,912 units last year to 34,317 units in October 2023. The demand for the HCV trucks are increasing with sales in October 2023 of 10,204 units which is 10.27% growth compared to 9,253 units in October 2022.
The ILMCV Sales saw 14.22% year-on-year growth from 4,690 units last year to 5,357 units in October 2023. The Passenger Carriers sales are also up for 42.92% from 1,759 units last year to 2,514 units in October 2023. The SCV Cargo and Pickup Sales are however down by 7.67% year-on-year to 14,419 units, The Commercial Vehicles Exports are also up 14.88% year-on-year to 1,829 units from 1,592 units shipped in October 2022.
