Tata Nexon launches XM AMT at Rs. 7.50 Lakhs;Nexon XMA vs XZA+ Features and Price

Tata has launched AMT transmission in XM trim of Nexon.Nexon XMA petrol is priced at Rs. 7.50 Lakhs and diesel at Rs. 8.53 lakhs(Prices-Ex-Showroom,Delhi).Earlier Nexon launched AMT in its top-spec trim-XZA+ in May 2018 which is priced at Rs. 9.41 Lakhs for the petrol engine and diesel unit has a price of Rs. 10.39 Lakhs(Ex-Showroom,Delhi).

Nexon AMT is offered in 2 engine options – 1.2-litre,turbocharged petrol engine with power of 108 bhp @ 5,000 rpm and with maximum torque of 170 nm @ 1,750-4,000 rpm.The 1.5-litre diesel engine makes 108 bhp @ 3,750 rpm with peak torque of 260 nm @ 1,500-2,750 rpm.Both these engines are mated to 6-speed AMT with 3 driving modes – Eco, City and Sport.The top spec trim XZA features a manual mode and crawl function.



Unlike the XZA variant,XMA model features halogen headlamps,LED tail lamps and steel wheels with wheel caps.Other features offered in this trim includes Harman infotainment system with AUX,USB,Bluetooth and 4 speakers,steering mounted audio,phone and voice controls,three-tone interiors with fabric upholstery.Safety features are ABS with EBD,Dual front Airbags,parking sensors,follow me home headlamps,4 power windows,Electrically adjustable ORVMs and central locking.These all features are also offered in XM manual.Tata is now offering optional new white contrast finish for the roof.60:40 split seats are offered in XMA but not in its manual counterpart.



In terms of features,it falls short of XZA+ which offers Alloys,Auto AC,Projector headlamps with LED DRLs,Rear wiper+washer,Rear defogger and Harman touchscreen infotainment system with android auto.  

Earlier we also reported that Tata would introduce AMT transmission in its lower models.Nexon XMA competes directly with Brezza VDI AMT,which has a costing of Rs. 8.54 lakhs.
