Tata Nexon comes back to No.1 position!

Tata Nexon is back to No.1 position in April 2023 Sales after being defeated by the Maruti Suzuki Brezza that dropped them to No. 2 position.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza that was on No.1 position in March 2023 Sales dropped to No.2 position as the Tata Nexon came back strong to conquer the No.1 position in April 2023!

Tata Nexon returned to No.1 position in SUV Sales after dropping to No.2 position in March 2023. It did sales of 15,002 units in April 2023 which is 11.36% year-on-year growth against the 13,421 unit sales in April 2022 with 11.36% increased volume growth. Maruti Suzuki Brezza dropped to No.2 position in April Sales from No.1 in March 2023. It did sales 11,836 units in April 2023 as it was improved by 0.61% year-on-year from 11,764 units in April 2022. At No.3 position, the Punch reported 10,936 units with 7.91% year-on-year improvement from the 10,132 units in April 2022.

Hyundai Venue at No.4 position reported 10,432 units sales which is an 23.23% year-on-year improvement from the 8,392 units in April 2022. The Kia Sonet did 9,744 unit sales which was 80.31% year-on-year growth against the 5,404 units in April 2022. The Fronx that launched on April 24th, 2023 did sales of 8,784 units and since it is a recent launch it wasn’t available to buy in April 2022 therefore, nothing. The Mahindra XUV300 sold 5,062 units as it was improved by 29.49% year-on-year from 3,909 units in April 2022. The Nissan Magnite which is due for an update sold 2,617 units which is an 33.11% year-on-year growth against the 1,966 units in April 2022. The Renault Kiger reported 1,162 units with 55.61% decreased growth from the 2,618 units in April 2022.

When comparing the April 2023 sales against the March 2023 sales, Tata Nexon sales increased by 1.57% month-on-month from 16,227 units in March 2023 The Maruti Suzuki Brezza sales saw decline by 27.05% month-on-month from 16,227 units in March 2023. Tata Punch saw slight improvement in sales by 0.36% month-on-month from 10,894 units in March 2023. The Hyundai Venue also saw increased sales by 3.17% month-on-month from 10,024 units in March 2023.

Kia Sonet reports increased month-on-month sales by 12.29% from 8,677 units in March 2023. Maruti Suzuki Fronx had no sales in March 2023 since it was launched in April 2023, therefore it has no increased growth. The Mahindra XUV300 reported decline in month-on-month sales by 0.12% from 5,128 units in March 2023. The Nissan Magnite sales dipped by 19.72% month-on-month from 3,260 units in March 2023. Lastly, the Renault Kiger sales dipped by 25.89% month-on-month from 1,568 units in March 2023.

Tata is currently testing the Nexon facelift as it’s gearing to launch the facelift with expected launch date of August 2023 with the production starting from July 2023. Meanwhile, Maruti is expected to launch the 5-door Jimny by the end of this month as the production as begun for the Off-road SUV. Kia is expected to launch the Seltos facelift this month as it rivals the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, and other models as well.
