We had seen the Tata Sierra SUV at the Auto Expo 2023 held in January, but now the design patent of the SUV has leaked which seems to suggest that the design has evolved a little and this is what the production version may look.
The design patent leaked seems to have confirm that the production version of the Sierra isn’t going to look much different than what was seen at the Auto Expo 2023 concept. The distinct line which segregates the front bumper, faux skid plate at the front, headlamp looks to be split in two while the main headlamp sits above the grille, connected LED light positioned at the top of the nose, which is like a new trend seems to be running across every new Tata model.
Moving to the side, rectangular wheel arches with contrasting body cladding, and it looks like the production version will get additional body-cladding on doors, and running boards seamlessly connecting with cladding on the wheel arches. Unique creases adorn both doors, linking the wheels while distinct shoulder line extends from the rear door to the fender, merging seamlessly with the taillamps.
The glasshouse maintains the design from the concept with distinctive B-Pillar. Behind the rear door, the quarter exhibits unique design elements reminiscent of those found on the updated Harrier and Safari models. Although the rear styling details are not visible in the patent image, it is likely the production version will look similar to the concept incorporating more practical elements at the bumpers, tail lamps, and other places.
At this point, we’ve no other details on the SUV yet but it seems Tata will move ahead with the same plan for the Sierra, like an EV version will launch first, then the ICE version will launch later after certain time gap. Tata as of now has its hands full with Tata Punch.ev, Curvv SUV, and Altroz Racer.
