In the next 6 months, the Indian Market will see the launch of new SUVs that are either facelift or new from the carmakers. These SUVs will come with some revolutionary features that we see only in the premium cars. Well, without any further ado, here are those SUVs launching in the coming months –

Tata Harrier Facelift (Expected Launch: October 2023)

Tata Motors along with the Nexon is consistently testing and working on the new Harrier facelift that is expected to launch in October 2023. The Harrier will sport a new front grille design and a new LED light bar at the rear to have the connected taillamps look. As per the leaks, the front of the Harrier facelift will look exactly the same as the Harrier EV that was showcased at the Auto Expo held in January 2023. The Harrier facelift is expected to get a new turbo petrol engine which will produce 170 bhp and 280 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed Manual Gearbox and 7-speed DCT Gearbox . It could also get RDE-compliant 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine which produces 168 bhp and 350 Nm of torque paired to 6-speed Manual Transmission and 6-speed Automatic Transmission.

The interior will be getting changes as well as it will be getting the new 10.25-inch infotainment system that will be thinner, sharper and smoother than the current one, new Steptronic Gear shifter, rotary dial for the drive mode, digital display on the four-spoke steering wheel to control the digital instrument cluster, new digital instrument cluster similar to newly launched Nexon Facelift, and touch-sensitive screen on the center console for climate control. The Harrier facelift will also get new features such as multi-color ambient lighting, updated UI for infotainment system, and more ADAS tech.

Tata Safari Facelift (Expected Launch: October 2023)

Tata Motors just like the Harrier and Nexon facelift, Tata has been consistently testing the Safari facelift but just recently, the interior dashboard was spotted undisguised, and from what we can see, the Safari facelift will be getting the new 10.25-inch infotainment system that will be thinner, sharper and smoother than the current one, new Steptronic Gear shifter, rotary dial for the drive mode, digital display on the four-spoke steering wheel to control the digital instrument cluster, new digital instrument cluster similar to newly launched Nexon Facelift, and touch-sensitive screen on the center console for climate control.

The exterior will see Safari facelift taking design cues from the Harrier EV like the new front grille inspired from the Harrier EV and will have few additional features over the upcoming Harrier facelift. Tata is expected to launch the Safari facelift along with the Harrier Facelift in October 2023.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor (Expected Launch: November 2023)

Toyota will be rebadging the Maruti Suzuki Fronx SUV under the nameplate, Urban Cruiser Taisor as spotted in the trademark filing earlier this month. In design, it is expected to be influenced by the Hyryder and come with the same features from the Fronx like 360-degree camera, Wireless Charging Pad, 9-inch infotainment system, Heads-up Display, 16-inch alloy wheels, and few more. In Engine Options, it’ll sport the same engine options as the Fronx which is the 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 87.29 bhp and 113 Nm of torque mated to 5-speed Manual and 5-speed Automatic Gearbox, and the other will be a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 98.69 bhp and 147.6 Nm of torque paired to 5-speed Manual and 6-speed Automatic Gearbox.

The interior styling and layout will most likely remain the same as the Fronx. As for the launch, it is possible that Toyota could launch the Taisor in the first week of November 2023 as part of their 6-months deal and price it at Rs. 7.56 lakh for the entry-level variant.

Tata Punch EV (Expected Launch: November 2023)

Tata Motors is seen testing the EV version of the Punch SUV that sits below the Nexon in the line-up, and through the spy shots, we got many information on how the Punch EV is going to look, and what’s its going to pack. The Punch EV at the front will closely resemble the ICE version with closed grille, and will get new features like the 360-degree camera, electric parking brake with auto hold function, and many more. From the inside, the layout and design will remain the same, and it won’t get the 10.25-inch infotainment system, it’ll continue to sport the 7-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto, but its possible that the UI of the 7-inch display could be updated to provide better visuals. Tata Motors recently launched iCNG of Punch and in this update, it got single-pane sunroof, and on the EV, its going to have a sunroof as well.

Kia Sonet Facelift (Expected December 2023)

Kia was first spotted testing the Sonet facelift in Korea as the test mule was exported from India to the headquarters of Kia. But now, the test mule of Sonet Facelift has made its way to India and though we have only seen it once, we’re most likely to see more spy shots of the SUV in the coming weeks. The Sonet Facelift will feature few design tweaks over the current one which are barely visible because it is heavily covered. The facelift will get crisper headlamp design and piano-black finished grille which is newly designed; the headlamps appears to be connected with the fog lamps vertically which might be used as LED DRLs or turn indicators, and a new bumper with large fog-lamps.

Hyundai Creta Facelift (Expected Launch: February 2024)

The spy shots of the Hyundai Creta Facelift reveals new front design like the vertical headlamp which will most likely be split unit and have Palisade-inspired LED DRLs with all-new square block grille resembling the Palisade closely, new front and rear bumpers, and ADAS panel just above the bumper at front. It also gets a new multi-spoke alloy wheels similar to the Alcazar. Moving to the rear, the Creta facelift will get a new redesigned H-shaped LED taillights with connected LED light bar.

The Creta facelift from the inside is expected to get major dashboard redesign with range of new features over the current Creta. In Engine Options, it’ll sport the 1.5 L 4-Cylinder Turbo Petrol Engine producing 158 bhp and 253 Nm of torque paired to 6-speed Manual and 7-speed DCT Gearbox. This is the same engine that powers the 6th Gen Verna, Kia Seltos Facelift, and the Kia Carens. The Creta Facelift was spied with ADAS and is expected to get Level 2 ADAS features same as the 2023 Hyundai Verna such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring System, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Forward Collision Warning, Auto High Beam Assist, and many more.

Moreover, in terms of features it already comes with 10.25-inch infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats, wireless charging, and so much more. It could more features like the heated seats, powered tailgate, 360-Degree Camera, and few more.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift (Expected Launch: March 2024)

Mahindra was spotted testing the XUV300 facelift with new tailgate which is flatter and possibly connected LED light bar with the taillights. From what was seen in the spy shots, the XUV300 will remain unchanged except for the cosmetic changes, it could get a new alloy wheel sets, and a panoramic sunroof for the SUV as seen through the spy shots. The interiors of the XUV300 in the spy shots cannot be seen, but Mahindra could add new features in the SUV such as bigger infotainment system, ventilated seats, digital instrument cluster, and many more.

The design is highly likely to change due to Mahindra cutting ties with Ssangyong, Korean carmaker as the current XUV300 design is styled in line with the Ssangyong Tivoli. Mahindra could take new design cues from the XUV700, or Scorpio-N. As for the engine options, it is unlikely Mahindra is going to introduce new engine for the XUV300. We expect Mahindra to launch the XUV300 Facelift in 2023.
