These SUVs were in the Top 10 Best-Selling SUVs of August 2023!

The month of August 2023 was a good month for the SUV sales with many carmakers reporting positive numbers for the SUVs over the last year. But out of the top 10 SUVs in June 2023, Maruti Brezza was at 1st position with the most sales.

Top 10 Best-Selling SUVs of August 2023

At No.1 position is the Maruti Brezza with 14,572 unit sales in August 2023 over the 15,193 units in August 2022 with 40.87% decline in sales. At No.2 position is the Tata Punch with 14,523 units over the 12,006 units in August 2022 with 20.96% year-on-year growth and 2,517 units in volume growth. Tata Motors in August launched the iCNG option for the Punch, and an electric version is coming soon later this year. Hyundai Creta at 3rd position sold 13,832 units against the 12,577 units last year with 9.97% year-on-year growth.

Hyundai Motors is currently working on the Creta facelift and its going to come with big features like the 360 Surround View Camera, ADAS, heated seats, front parking sensors, powered seats for co-driver, and one touch auto up and down for all windows. It’s expected to launch in February 2024. Next is the Maruti Fronx at 4th position with 12,164 units and had launched earlier this year in April 2023. The Maruti Grand Vitara at 5th position with 11,818 unit sales and no sales were in August 2022 and had launched in September 2022.

Hyundai Venue at 6th position sold 10,948 units which is a bit less compared to last year’s 11,240 units resulting in 2.59% decline. Hyundai Motors just few days ago updated the Venue with ADAS and these are the ADAS features like the Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, and few more. At 7th position is the Kia Seltos with 10,698 units over the 8,652 unit last year with 23.64% increased growth. The increase in sales over the last years is due to the recent facelift update Kia gave to Seltos with feature like the ADAS, dual 10.25-inch displays, powered seats, and more.

Mahindra Scorpio sales are combined numbers of Scorpio-N and Scorpio Classic. Its 9,898 units over the 7,056 units with 40.27% year-on-year growth. The Bolero at 9th position did sales of 9,092 units, and at 10th position is Tata Nexon with 8,049 units. The Nexon sales will now most likely see an exponential growth given they just unveiled the facelift update for the SUV with some big features like 360 Surround View Camera, 10.25-inch configurable digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch HD Infotainment System, and many more.

In the coming months, Kia is expected to launch the Sonet Facelift in December 2023 that is rumored to come with mild ADAS features, and Toyota is expected to launch the Maruti Fronx rebadged SUV called Urban Cruiser Taisor in November 2023.
