Xpeng also announced last week the Mona M03 as the “world’s lowest drag production pure electric hatchback sedan,” with an impressive drag coefficient of Cd 0.194, achieved through various aerodynamic enhancements that reduced Cd by 0.085. These improvements contribute an additional 60 KM to the car’s range.
According to MIIT listings, the Mona M03 comes in three different weights: 1631 KG, 1661 KG, and 1739 KG, which are relatively light. This suggests a potential surprise regarding the vehicle’s range, speculated to be between 500 – 600 KM. The Mona M03 measures 4780 mm in length, 1896 mm in width, 1445 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2815 mm.
The Mona M03 is powered by BYD subsidiary FinDreams’ blade batteries. While the technical details about the battery specs are currently unknown, there are expected to be two different sizes. The lower-powered versions of the car use a 140 kW electric motor, while the more powerful versions are equipped with a 160 kW motor.
