Bajaj Auto will be launching the world’s first-ever CNG Motorcycle tomorrow on July 5th, but ahead of its launch, the official name of the bike has leaked.

So, we did a bit of search on their website, and it confirmed Bajaj will be reviving the nameplate “Freedom” which was previously used by LML for one of its motorcycles before it stopped its operations in India. They quickly took down so others don’t take a screenshot of it. Along with “Freedom”, it’ll carry the ‘125’ suffix to denote its engine displacement. In a teaser, Bajaj had teased a kill-switch like button to switch between ‘Petrol’ and ‘CNG’ Modes making it a bi-fuel motorcycle.

However, we can expect the performance to be on par with the 100-110cc bikes. Moreover, the CNG fuel should help the bike achieve the best-in-class fuel efficiency of 100+ KM/KG Figure which would make it the most frugal bike in the whole world. A Small CNG Cylinder will be under the seat, could be 3 – 5 Litres. Other than that, it gets tubeless tyres, round headlamps, single long seat, grab handle, etc.
Now, in order to achieve a competitive pricing, multiple variants will be available as confirmed by previous spy shots. Expect features such as front disc brakes, Single-Channel ABS, Knuckle Guards, LCD Cluster, tyre hugger, Halogen Headlamps, LED Tail-lamps, alloy wheels, etc.
Price-wise, we expect Bajaj to price it between Rs. 80,000 to Rs. 1 Lakh ensuring aggressive pricing. More details are to be revealed soon by Bajaj tomorrow.
