After launching the XUV700, Mahindra unfortunately stopped making the XUV500 because it didn’t sell as well as they hoped. They said it’s just temporary, and now they’re working on a new version of the XUV500. Recently, people spotted it being tested in Chennai, and it looks a bit smaller than before, around 4.3 to 4.4 meters long. The new XUV500 is expected to sport have two engine options: 1.5 L Turbo Diesel and 1.5 L Turbo petrol, both with a choice of 6 Speed Manual (MT) and Automatic (AT) Gearbox. The SUV will also come loaded with numerous features like ventilated seats, a wireless charging pad, 10.25-inch infotainment system and Digital Cockpit Cluster Dual-zone Climate Control, Drive Modes, Powered Driver Seat, and so much more.
Even in safety, Mahindra will equip the XUV500 with features such as Level 2 ADAS, 360 Surround View Camera, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, TPMS, Hill Descent Control, Hill Assist, and few additional features.
