Kia India has introduced significant discounts on its first electric vehicle, the Kia EV6, making it an attractive option during the festive season. This electric crossover, recently joined by the flagship EV9 SUV, now comes with festive benefits worth Rs. 10 – 15 lakh, depending on the variant.
The Kia EV6 is available in two trims:
The festive discounts make the EV6 more affordable, especially for those seeking a premium electric vehicle. With the EV6 GT-Line AWD priced at Rs. 69.35 lakh (on-road), applying a Rs. 15 lakh discount brings the price down to Rs. 50.96 lakh. This makes it Rs. 6.31 lakh cheaper than the Toyota Fortuner, which reaches up to Rs. 60.66 lakh (on-road) in states like New Delhi. Additionally, in states offering incentives for EVs, the on-road price of the EV6 could be even lower, further enhancing its value proposition.
The Kia EV6 is powered by a 77.4 kWh battery pack and offers impressive performance across its two variants:
Kia EV6 is equipped with numerous features such as ventilated and heated front seats, Augmented Heads-up Display (HUD), 360 Surround View Camera, dual 12.3-inch displays – infotainment and digital cluster, front powered seats, Level 2 ADAS with 20+ functions, and so on.
Building on the success of the EV6 and the newly launched EV9, Kia India is gearing up to launch two more electric vehicles in 2025.
In a strategic shift, Kia plans to manufacture these upcoming EVs locally to keep prices competitive, unlike the EV6 and EV9, which are imported as Completely Built Units (CBUs).
With the Kia EV6 discount, the electric crossover becomes a compelling alternative to high-end SUVs like the Fortuner, especially considering the potential savings. Coupled with the brand’s roadmap for launching more locally-produced EVs, the Kia EV6 positions itself as an appealing option for those seeking a premium electric vehicle with substantial value for money.
