The month of September has seen the top selling cars receiving a decline in sales with many new cars coming to the party.
Here is a complete list of Top 10 highest selling cars as of the month of September.
Maruti Suzuki Swift has received a massive growth of 68% from September 2017 to September 2018.The total units of Swift sold in September were 22,228.
Swift has always remained in the top 5 highest selling cars and for the first time,it topped the table.
The Alto twins has managed to account more than 20k units per month.The total units of Alto sold in India in September 2018 were 21,719 units.
New Dzire has managed to achieve many milestone in terms of total units sold.Although Dzire has dropped down to No. 3 spot but still it accounted for quite good sales units.Total of 21,296 units of Dzire were sold in September 2018.
Baleno,the premium hatchback of Maruti Suzuki beats its closest rival, Elite i20 by a big margin of 6,000 units.Baleno which is due for an update in first half of 2019 accounted for 18,631 units in the month of September.
The 5th car in the list of highest selling car is another Maruti car.Vitara Brezza which sells around 14k-15k units every month has accounted for 14,425 sale units in September 2018.
Maruti WagonR, most successful hatchback has received a slight decline in sales in the month of September 2018.The total units of WagonR sold in India in September 2018 were 13,252.
It would be interesting to see the sales figures of WagonR in this month as we have the launch of WagonR’s closest rival, New Santro 2018 on October 2018.
The first Hyundai car that comes in the top 10 selling car’s list is Hyundai Elite i20.Elite i20’s sales have continue to increase in the past few months.The total units of Elite i20 in September 2018 were 12,380.
Hyundai Grand i10 sales have slowed down from August 2018 to September 2018 but still it has made to the top 10 list.The total units of Grand i10 in September 2018 were 11,224.
At No. 9 there is another SUV which received update earlier this year.Hyundai Creta has always managed to move around 9,000 to 11,000 units.The total sales of Hyundai Creta in September 2018 was 11,000 units.
Maruti Celerio has took over Honda Amaze and grabbed the No. 10 spot.Maruti Celerio has always managed to sell around 6,000 units but this time it accounted for 9,208 units and made to the top 10 highest selling cars list.
