Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the Nexon facelift as fast as they can for the expected August launch. Tata Nexon rivals the Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Fronx, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and Nissan Magnite. To ensure it brings in better numbers in sales than it’s rivals, Tata Motors is going to introduce new features which it’s rivals won’t see it coming, and therefore, here are the top 5 features that Nexon Facelift is definitely going to have that will shock you and it’s rivals –
The current Nexon comes with a 7-inch display which is smaller in size and slower in performance. Few months ago, Tata Motors had updated the Harrier and Safari with a new 10.25-inch infotainment system that is way more responsive and faster in performance, and the Nexon facelift will get the same 10.25-inch unit as well given many of it’s competitors as a 10.25-inch unit.
The current Nexon comes with a digital instrument cluster but that’s the same as the one in the updated Altroz and Tiago. However, Tata had updated the Harrier and Safari with a new 7-inch digital instrument cluster at the center, tachometer on the left side, temperature and fuel gauge on the right side. The Nexon Facelift will get a new digital instrument cluster but according to new leaks, it’ll sport one big display for instrument cluster which will be different than it offered in the Harrier and Safari.
Maruti Brezza is so far the only SUV in this segment to offer a 360-degree camera as it gives you a better look at the surroundings and helps in parking as well. Tata currently offers the 360-degree camera in the updated Safari and Harrier, and could bring it in the Nexon Facelift with improved quality and resolution to see those blurred details clearly.
The Government of India had announced that from October 1st, 2023, no carmaker will be allowed to sell the models unless all variants of that model has six airbags as standard. It’s possible Tata Motors will add six airbags in the Nexon and make it standard across all the variants. Moreover, it could add Rear Disc Brakes since the current Nexon has Front Disc and Rear Drum Brakes. The XUV300 is currently the only one to offer Front and Rear Disc Brakes, and it’s possible the Nexon will join the list as well.
The Nexon facelift was spotted with a digital display on the two-spoke steering wheel that will function as a touch-sensitive display to control the instrument cluster and it’ll have haptic feedback for it to make you feel like you’re pressing a button on the steering wheel. This is a new feature that no cars gets right now making it the first-in segment feature for Nexon facelift.
