Toyota in South Africa has revealed the mild-hybrid version of the Fortuner along with new features such as ADAS and 360 Surround View Camera; and some interior enhancement.
Toyota Fortuner New Update: What is it?
First of all, the South African version of the Fortuner bears striking resemblance with the Fortuner Legender sold in India. However, the South African Fortuner gets multiple paint options while the Indian version gets white and black dual-tone colour option. The Fortuner MHEV runs on the same 2.8 L Diesel engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This hybrid setup contributes an additional 15.7 BHP and 42 NM, resulting in a combined power output of 201 BHP and 500 NM Torque.
