At the front, the Hyryder has blacked out element with chrome line that is connected at both the sides of LED lights, chrome inserts around the fog lamps with rounded square grille and the bumper both at the front and rear finished in faux silver skid plate. Moving to the side, it has chrome line at the bottom window frame, cuts on the doors with 17-inch alloy wheels, and non-functional roof rails contributing towards the design. At the rear, it has LED taillamps joining the chrome line with Toyota logo and reverse parking light with indicators above it are vertically positioned.

From the front, the City has a hexagonal grille with chrome bar jointing with the LED headlamps. The bumper at the front and rear diffuser bumper are wrapped in carbon, and cuts on the bonnet to give City a sporty look. Moving to the sides, it has 16-inch alloy wheels with chrome door handles and slight cuts on the body as well. At the rear, it has boot-lip spoiler on the tailgate with LED taillamps and shark-fun antenna on top.

From the inside, the Hyryder has a 9-inch infotainment system placed above the AC vents and the AC vents at the sides positioned horizontally. It does have the dual-tone dashboard theme option as well with leather seat upholstery. The Hyryder has a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster although the image you’re seeing has Analog instrument cluster which is available in all the variants except the top variant. The Hyryder has two USB ports at the front and rear, buttons for ventilated seats, driver mode, and EV mode. The Hyryder also has a Heads-up Display top of the instrument cluster, and a panoramic sunroof. At the rear, the seats are split in 60:40 ratio and it has a 6-speaker Arkamy’s sound system.

The City has a 8-inch infotainment system placed between the two AC Vents and the AC vents at the sides are placed vertically. It has the dual-tone dashboard option with leather seat upholstery. The City has three-spoke multi-function steering wheel with Semi-Digital instrument cluster, and a single-pane sunroof. It has two USB ports at the front and rear, sliding arm rest, and traction control button on the right side next to the push start/stop button. At the rear, the City has a 60:40 ratio split seat and 8-speaker premium surround sound system.

After doing a comparison of both the models from the outside and the inside, the Honda City from the outside looks a bit more premium/luxurious than the Hyryder. However, the Hyryder has a better looking interior than the City.

When it comes to dimensions, the Hyryder measures 4365mm in length, 1795mm in width, and height of 1645mm. The City has a length of 4490mm which is 125mm longer, width of 1748mm that is 47mm less wide, and height of 1489mm that is shorter by 156mm. Both the Hyryder and the City has same wheelbase of 2600mm. The Hyryder has a ground clearance of 208mm, boot space of 373 litres, and fuel tank of 45 litres petrol and 55 litres of CNG tank. Not only the Hyryder and the City has a petrol engine but both of them also has a petrol-hybrid engine as well. When it comes to features, the Honda City misses out on ventilated seats, Wireless Apple Carplay and Android auto, bigger infotainment system, and digital instrument cluster. The Hyryder misses out on 8-speaker sound system instead of the 6-speaker Arkamy’s sound system. Therefore, in features the Hyryder is better than the City.

The Hyryder misses out on Traction Control, Rain-sensing wipers and ADAS where as the City misses out on Heads-up Display (HUD), and 360-degree camera. In the end, the decision to buy which model depends totally on you, however, we would recommend the Hyryder over the City as the interior of the Hyryder is more spacious than the City and more feature-loaded than the City. However, for comfort, the City as it’s lengthier and safety is better on offer than the Hyryder. From the outside, the City is much better looking sedan than the Hyryder SUV giving a premium feeling but then you get disappointed by the interiors.
