A recent video highlights a troubling experience of a Toyota Innova Hycross owner, revealing significant issues with the vehicle and aftersales service at a Toyota dealership. The owner, whose vehicle is registered in Haryana, took delivery of the Innova Hycross in May this year. However, within just 10-15 days, he encountered a series of problems that have left him frustrated and disillusioned with the brand. The first major issue arose while driving home with colleagues. As they were ascending a flyover, a loud noise, resembling an explosion, startled everyone in the car. Initially suspecting a flat tire, the owner stopped to inspect the vehicle. To his surprise, the tires were intact, but the panoramic sunroof had shattered without any apparent cause. Fortunately, the fabric curtain beneath the glass was closed, preventing injuries.
At the Toyota service center, the staff questioned whether the sunroof damage was intentional. It was only after the owner presented dashcam footage that the dealership agreed to replace the sunroof at no cost. However, the replacement introduced new problems. The newly installed sunroof has noticeable scratches and appears misaligned. Additionally, after receiving the vehicle back, the owner noticed another issue: the exterior panels of the car frost over when the air conditioning is in use, and condensation forms inside the panoramic sunroof. These ongoing issues have shaken the owner’s confidence in Toyota, a brand he initially chose for its reputed reliability and strong aftersales service. He expresses concern for the safety of his family and friends, who are now fearful of riding in the vehicle. In the video, the owner voices his frustration, even threatening to set the car on fire on Independence Day in front of the Toyota service center he holds responsible for the problems. Independence Day has come and gone, but nothing has happened so far.
This incident highlights serious concerns about the aftersales service at Toyota dealerships and raises questions about the reliability of the Toyota Innova Hycross. Potential buyers and current owners may want to stay informed about this ongoing issue.
