In September 2023, the Toyota Innova (HyCross & Crysta) continues to be the leading car for Toyota, with combined sales of 8,900 units with improved growth by 4.22% compared to 8,666 units in August. At second position is the rebadged Maruti Baleno, the Glanza with de-growth in sales to 4,727 units from 4,932 units in August with decline by 4.15%. The Glanza comes with the same powertrain and features as the Baleno like the 360-degree camera, Heads-up Display, 9-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto, and few more.

Next is the newly launched Rumion which is basically a rebadged Maruti Ertiga but with increased length. It did sales of 1,461 units which is up from the 112 units in August by 1204.46%. Recently, Toyota halted the bookings for the CNG variants because it’s got so many bookings that waiting period is going up crazily. Up next is the Hyryder with 3,804 units over the 4,121 units in August 2023 with decline in volume by 317 units. The Hyryder is a rebadged Grand Vitara with same features between the two SUVs that comes with strong-hybrid powertrain as well.

The Fortuner sales improved slightly to 2,874 units from 2,825 units in August 2023 with 1.7% growth, and it’s the case for the Hilux, that has pulled only 143 units against the 133 units with slight increase by 10 units. The Camry pulled 259 units over the 181 units in August 2023 with 43.09% growth. The updated new Vellfire went unsold and so did the Land Cruiser LC300.

Toyota had filed a trademark under the nameplate, Urban Cruiser Taisor, which is most likely for their version of the Maruti Fronx. It’s expected to launch in November 2023. It will come with features like 360-Degree Surround View Camera, wireless charging pad, 9-inch infotainment system, paddle shifters, LED headlamps, and so much more.
