Toyota has launched the new Vellfire in India with many changes and features as its the only MPV in its own segment to offer luxury, comfort, and space for passengers.
Toyota launched the new Vellfire for the Indian Market sooner than the expected September launch and priced it at Rs. 1.20 Crore (ex-showroom).
2024 Toyota Vellfire – What you need to know!
The new Vellfire shares underpinnings with even more luxurious Lexus LM. It comes in two variants – Hi and VIP with Executive Lounge Package. Back in June, some Toyota authorized dealers were unofficially accepting bookings for the MPV, and then today, Toyota launched the new MPV ahead of its expected September launch. The new Vellfire compared to its predecessor maintains familiar appearance.
The Toyota Logo is showcased in the large six-slat grille accompanied by the split headlamps. The LED DRLs are housed in the lower part of the headlamps while U-shaped chrome strip spans the bumper linking the two headlamps. Moving to the side profile, the Vellfire’s glasshouse is one single unit with noticeable kink and blacked-out pillars outlined with chrome. The familiar V-shaped taillamp enclosure includes stylish chrome accents, Vellfire badging, and large Toyota logo at the center.
2024 Toyota Vellfire – Interior and Features
From the inside, it features sleek dashboard design with reduced buttons as compared to previous model, majority of the functions are now integrated into the expansive 14-inch infotainment system. The new Vellfire gets a new and improved seat design, spacious overhead console for passengers to control various functions, multiple AC vents, and redesigned pull-down sunshades.
The top-spec VIP variant comes equipped with Executive Lounge Plus showcasing two captain seats in the second row with retractable tables with ventilated and heating functionalities. Passengers can conveniently adjust media and climate settings, and sunshades through a new detachable control panel. Other features include Heads-Up Display (HUD), wireless charging pad, ottoman for second-row seats (available in Hi variant), 8-way power adjustable driver seat, and 60+ integrated connected car features for enhanced connectivity.
Safety features include Toyota Safety Sense ADAS System with features such as pre-collision safety system, lane trace assist, adaptive cruise control, and blind spot monitor. Additionally, it gets six airbags, stability control, park assist, and hill assist control, and more to ensure you’ve safe driving experience.
2024 Toyota Vellfire – Dimensions, Powertrain, and Rivals.
The new Toyota Vellfire is build on the TNGA-K platform and now it’s lighter than the previous model. In terms of Dimensions, it measures 4995mm in length, 1850mm in width, 1950mm in height, and features a wheelbase of 3000mm. In comparison to previous model, the width, and wheelbase has remained the same while the length and height has increased by 60mm and 50mm.

The new Vellfire is powered by the 2.5-litre Petrol-Hybrid Engine producing 190.35 bhp and 240 Nm of torque. It drives all four wheels via an eCVT Gearbox with Toyota claiming the Vellfire returns fuel efficiency of 19.28 kmpl.
Toyota Vellfire starts from Rs. 1.20 crore for the Hi variant, and Rs. 1.30 crore for the VIP variant equipped with Executive Lounge Package. The Vellfire currently has no direct rivals in this segment in India letting them enjoy the sales, but that’s until the Lexus launched the LM MPV in India.
