Toyota Vellfire 2024!

Toyota has revealed the 2024 Vellfire to the world and has shown us the improvements it has made over the previous version. The luxurious MPV is also in sale in India, and we expect the updated 2024 Vellfire to find it’s way to India sometime in 2024. But, why don’t we talk about the changes Toyota has made on the Vellfire over the version on sale in India, let’s find out, shall we!

Sporty Exterior!

The 2024 Toyota Vellfire gets updated with a huge grille at the front which is similar to the latest Land Cruiser. The headlamps and DRLs units combined are sleeker than the previous version sold in India and it has a massive air vents that also houses fog lamps. From the sides, the 2024 Vellfire gets Z-shaped chrome element on the B-pillar, and curvy design all over the body. It rides on the 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels with black shade which is 2-inch bigger than the 17-inch alloy wheel we’ve got here.

At the rear, the tailgate is almost flat and the taillamps have been redesign and is extended to the side profile for a wrap-around effect, and also gets a connecting thin LED light bar with Toyota logo at the center, and below the logo is the Vellfire lettering. Toyota has made Vellfire exterior design Dynamic and Sportier on purpose to stand out against it’s rivals.

Cabin Changes!

Toyota has made some significant changes to the Vellfire Cabin, and to the Cockpit. It now features a clean layout with brown leather upholstery, new three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and a new fully digital instrument cluster over the Indian-spec Vellfire. The audio and climate controls has been shifted to the infotainment system, start/stop engine button is moved from right side (closer to door) to the left side behind the steering wheel. The AC vents design has been changed as well, and is positioned horizontally.

Spacious Rear Seat Experience!

The luxurious MPV Vellfire is well known for it’s rear seat experience, and the previous version was already spacious enough for people to seat very comfortably, and was equipped with good amount of features. Keeping this mind, Toyota hasn’t made any visual changes to the rear seats to the 2024 model, but has increased the space between the second and third row by 10mm for third row passenger to be more comfortable. The second-row in Vellfire features powered Ottoman seat, and it has the option to install entertainment screens and chaffeur controls at the rear seats.

The second row headrest design is different than the previous version and the second-row seats are equipped with little screen on the armrests for control. The AC vents at the second row is so big that it extends to the third row except the Indian version has AC vents mounted on the roof.

More Powertrains

Toyota has updated the Powertrain option for the 2024 Vellfire, it now comes with two engine options – 2.4-litre turbo petrol mated to 8-speed automatic gearbox and the 2.5-litre petrol-hybrid engine with an eCVT Gearbox. Both comes with the front-wheel-drive (FWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) option. The Vellfire in India is powered by the 2.5-litre petrol-hybrid that produces 115.32 bhp and 198 Nm of torque mated to eCVT Gearbox and has all-wheel-drive.

Increased Safety

The Indian-Spec Vellfire comes with safety features like seven airbags, brake assist, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Hill Start Assist, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and 360-degree camera. Well, Toyota took a step further to increase passengers safety by adding driver assisting features like remote parking, lane keep assist, steering assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
