Toyota has revealed their sales figures for March 2023 and has witnessed 8.98% year-on-year growth as it sold 18,670 units.

Toyota’s March 2023 Sales figures are revealed as it sold 18,670 units against the 17,131 units sales it did in March 2022 witnessing an 8.98% year-on-year growth with 1,539 units volume growth. Even when you compare these the March 2023 sales to it’s previous month February 2023, it witnessed 22.28% month-on-month growth as in February 2023, Toyota sold 15,267 units with 3,403 units volume growth in March 2023. Toyota says the reason it achieved this sales figures was because of the major contribution by Innova Hycross, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, The New Innova Crysta and Hilux.
Not only that, but Toyota also ended the FY 2022-23 with positive sales growth of 1,74,015 with 41% year-on-year increase over the 1,23,770 units in FY 2021-22.

The sales of March 2023 are already impressive, but however Toyota completed this Quarter with positive growth as well. In Quarter 1, 2023, it recorded 46,665 units with 40.54% year-on-year growth against the 13,462 units in Quarter 1, 2022 with growth in sales by 13,462 units. When comparing to Quarter 4, 2022, it reports 32.08% month-on-month growth with 11,336 units volume growth.
Commenting on the sales performance, Vice President, Sales and Strategic Marketing of Toyota Kirloskar Motors, Mr. Atul Sood said, “We are extremely pleased to close this Fiscal Year on a positive note and expect continued momentum and growth in fiscal of 2024-2025. The passenger vehicles segment witnessed a steady growth last year, and TKM was prepared to ride the wave by making deeper inroads into the market to meet the varied mobility needs. Our new product launches, introduction of newer, greener and advanced technology options and reaching closer to customers , enabled us to successfully sustain the continued growth momentum.”
He added that he is grateful to customers for their growing interest in their offerings with acceptance of their recently launched Innova HyCross and Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The pick-up truck, Hilux, is receiving good response from people ever since it launched. He added, “We also opened bookings for the much-loved New Innova Crysta Diesel which has strongly contributed to our achievements in the month of March’23.”
Toyota says they’re optimistic about the next year given the strong demand it has from it’s customers for all their products. With this fiscal year over, this positive growth in sales, could rope in some new launches and updates by Toyota and also focus on adding features that meets that particular segment.
