4 new SUVs are set to unleash hell in India from brands – Skoda, MG Motors, Jeep, and Ford; to end the reign of India’s most popular and lovable SUV, the Toyota Fortuner. These SUVs will have many new features and improvements compared to their previous iterations. Here are all the details we know about these big, fancy SUVs in this article!
Jeep Meridian Facelift
- Exterior Design changes will include front and rear bumper changes, front fascia changes, Radar Module on the lower air intake, and new connected tail-lamps.
- Interiors will see slight tweak in styling.
- Dimensions will be more or less the same.
- Engine Options: 2.0 L Diesel (172 BHP, 350 NM) (6 Speed MT, 9 Speed AT)
- New Features: Powered Captain Seats (2nd Row), Heated Seats, ADAS Level 2, and more.
- Expected Price: Rs. 34 – Rs. 40

MG Gloster Facelift
- Exterior to undergo major changes like new blocks-like front grille, updated bumpers, new DRLs, Head-lamps, connected tail-lamps, and new alloy wheels.
- Interior will be updated with new rectangle-shape infotainment system, new instrument cluster, redesigned center console and dashboard, new seat upholstery, and more.
- Dimensions: Length increased by 229 MM [5214 MM], width by 90 MM [2016 MM], and Height by 9 MM [1867 MM]. Wheelbase remains the same.
- Engine Options 2.2 L Twin-Turbo Petrol and 2.2 L Turbo Engine [8 Speed AT]
- New Features: Upgraded Level 2 ADAS, Ventilated and Heated Seats for Co-Passenger, and 2nd Row; and more.
- Expected Launch: Mid 2024
- Expected Price: Rs. 38 – Rs. 44 Lakh
New Skoda Kodiaq
- Exterior changes like tweaked front grille, updated bumpers, new DRLs, connected tail-lamps, and new alloy wheels.
- New interior with 10 or 13-inch free-standing infotainment system, new 10-inch digital cockpit cluster, redesigned center console and dashboard, new seat upholstery, new “smart dials” and more.
- Built on VW MQB Evo Platform.
- Dimensions: Length increased by 59 MM [4758 MM], Boot Space increased to 340 L, and Wheelbase of 2791 MM.
- Engine Options: 2.0 L Turbo Petrol, 2.0 L Turbo Diesel, and 1.5 L Turbo Petrol with Plug-in Hybrid and Mild Hybrid Tech.
- Expected Launch: Second half of 2024
- Expected Price: Rs. 40 – Rs. 50 Lakh
New Ford Everest
- Will be renamed from Endeavour to Everest.
- New Exterior such as new front grille, updated bumpers, new C-DRLs, connected L-shape tail-lamps, new 20-inch alloy wheels, ADAS Suite, and so much more.
- Interior updated with new 12-inch infotainment system, new fully digital cluster, redesigned center console and dashboard, new seat upholstery, new “e-shifter” for gear changing, and more.
- Dimensions will be increased over the discontinued version in India.
- Engine Options: 2.0 L Turbo Diesel, 2.0 L Twin-Turbo Diesel Engine.
- Features: Level 2 ADAS, 360 Surround View Camera, Heated/Ventilated Front Row Seats, B&O 12 Speakers Sound System, and more.
- Expected Launch: Late 2024 – Early 2025
- Expected Price: Rs. 40 – Rs. 60 Lakh
