Upcoming Mahindra XUV300 will be an absolute mix of Performance and Fuel Economy

Upcoming Mahindra XUV300 with 1.5-litre diesel and hybrid technology will be an absolute mix of performance and fuel efficiency, along with class leading safety features.

Mahindra’s first sub-compact SUV has been already revealed and is expected to be launched in India in mid-february.Mahindra has high expectations with their new XUV300.Mahindra XUV300 name has been given to Mahindra’s sub-compact SUV as they want to continue their success with XUV300 as they had with it’s bigger brother, the Mahindra XUV500.Mahindra has launched quite a few cars in this segment including Quanto, TUV300 and others but they weren’t able to establish their position very well.But with the features that Mahindra offers in XUV300, it is likely to overthrow most of the car in this segment.

Indian-spec Upcoming Mahindra XUV300 is based on Ssangyong Tivoli’s design and derive most of the premium features from it.XUV300 will be based on rigid and robust X100 platform and with ladder frame chasis, it will be a monocoque SUV.Mahindra XUV300 will get cheetah inspired exterior design which looks sharp and muscular all around.Interior of the SUV will be dual tone with leather upholstery for the top models.XUV300 will get a number of top-notch safety features and also some class leading equipments as well.

Standard equipment list of XUV300 includes Reverse Parking Sensors, High Speed Alert System, ABS with EBD, Engine Immobilizer, Front Dual Airbags, Door Ajar Warning, Driver Seatbelt Reminder,Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock and Impact Sensing Auto Door Unlock.A number of class above features will be offered on XUV300 as it is based on the same platform of many award holder SUV, Ssangyong Tivoli whose platform has been altered to keep it under 4-metres.Features list includes 7 airbags, front parking sensors, dual zone automatic ac unit, sunroof, all 4 disc brakes, traction controls, cruise controls, big LED DRLs and three modes – normal, sport and comfort.

Under the hood, it will get 1.2-litre G80 petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel unit with 140 PS of power and massive 300 NM of class leading torque.Both these engines will be paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox.Petrol automatic will make way to XUV300 in mid-2020.Also, the Diesel engine will get a mild-hybrid unit like Scoprio which will provide excellent fuel economy.
