Maruti Suzuki’s debut electric SUV, the eVX, is poised for its much-anticipated launch in India. Recently, enthusiasts caught a glimpse of the vehicle parked alongside the Hyundai Venue, offering a comprehensive look at both its exterior and interior features.
Maruti’s first-ever electric SUV, eVX interiors has been spied ahead of its global reveal which is likely by the end of this year with launch in 2025. The walkaround of the SUV reveals tons of details like the new two-spoke steering wheel with flat bottom effect while the controls are finished in gloss black. Although it’s still under testing, these could could change to touch-sensitive given its becoming a trend these days.

The dashboard of the spied SUV for the Indian market appears to be covered with cloth, but it’s likely to feature a free-standing 10.25-inch dual display setup, with one screen dedicated to the cluster and the other for infotainment purposes. Additionally, vertically-positioned central AC vents, an electronic parking brake with auto hold function on the center console, and various testing equipment can be observed, albeit partially obscured due to camouflage.On the top, the eVX is expected to boast a panoramic sunroof, while the rear will likely feature AC vents. The entire cabin is anticipated to be complemented by a dual-tone theme, adding to its aesthetic appeal. Moving to the exterior, the eVX is equipped with LED projector headlamps, disc brakes for all four wheels, alloy wheels, a rear wiper with washer, a large roof spoiler, door handles located on the C-pillar, a gloss-black finished shark fin antenna, connected LED tail-lamps, cameras on the ORVMs, a radar module on the front fascia for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and a car charging port positioned on the left front fender.Built on the YY8 Skateboard platform, which is derived from the Toyota 27PL Platform, the eVX benefits from the absence of a transmission tunnel, providing other brands with the flexibility to implement their design for cars on this platform.Maruti eVX upon launch will rival the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta EV, MG ZS EV.
