Bookings have commenced for the respective Creta and Harrier rivals!

VinFast Auto India has officially opened bookings for its premium electric SUVs — the VF 6 and VF 7 — in the Indian market. Following their successful showcase at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, both models are now available for pre-booking ahead of their official launch in August 2025, when deliveries are also expected to begin.

Booking Details

Customers across India can reserve their preferred model by visiting VinFast showrooms or the official website. The booking amount is Rs. 21,000, and is fully refundable, making it a risk-free opportunity for early adopters.

The two EVs — VF 6 and VF 7 — are designed to deliver global standards in electric mobility, tailored for Indian roads and driving needs. Both models boast impressive real-world range, premium interiors, and modern features, catering to daily city use, long intercity drives, and weekend trips with ease.

Locally Assembled in India

VinFast’s upcoming manufacturing plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, will assemble both vehicles locally. This not only reinforces VinFast’s long-term investment in India, but also supports the company’s ambition to turn the country into a key electric vehicle production hub for global markets.

VinFast VF 6

The VF 6 will serve as VinFast’s entry-level EV SUV in India. It measures around 4.21 metres in length and is expected to be offered in Eco and Plus variants, similar to the Vietnamese market. Both variants come with a 59.6 kWh battery, offering a claimed range of up to 480 km (WLTP). Power output is solid, with the Plus variant generating 204 hp and 310 Nm of torque, helping the SUV sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.89 seconds.

VinFast VF 7

The VF 7 is a larger, more premium offering measuring 4,545 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,636 mm in height. It stands out with a coupe-like roofline, flush door handles, full-width LED tail light bar, and 19-inch alloy wheels.

Globally, the VF 7 is offered in Eco, Plus, and Plus AWD variants. While the Eco variant gets the 59.6 kWh battery, the Plus and Plus AWD trims feature a larger 75.3 kWh battery pack. Claimed range varies between 431 km and 496 km, depending on the variant.

  • FWD variant: 198 bhp, 309 Nm, 451 km WLTP range
  • AWD variant (Plus): 344 bhp, 499 Nm, 431 km WLTP range

Expected pricing for the VF 7 in India is around Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant, while the AWD Plus trim may touch Rs 30 lakh.

“We are deeply encouraged by the overwhelming support from Indian consumers at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. It reaffirmed the country’s readiness and enthusiasm for sustainable mobility solutions.
