Tata Altroz vs Maruti Dzire – Exterior and Interior


At the front as you can see, the Tata Altroz has Halogen headlamps with blacked out grille and the chrome line going from the headlamps to another headlamps with fog lamps below them, and on the bonnet it has few cuts for a sporty look. Moving to the side, it has cladding at the bottom window frame, few cuts on the body, and rides on 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, it has rear wipers on the windscreen, a little spoiler, LED taillamps and rear bumper blacked out.


From the front, the Dzire has LED headlamps and the grille has chrome borders around it the fog lamps has chrome coverings as well. The front of the Dzire gives a mean look because of how low the grille has been positioned, which is also covered in chrome. From the side, it has chrome lines on the windows frame and 15-inch alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, it has LED taillamps and chrome bar that connects with the taillamps.


From the inside, the Altroz has 7-inch infotainment system above the AC vents and AC vents at the sides are positioned horizontally. It does not have the dual-tone dashboard theme option unfortunately. The Altroz has Digital instrument cluster with three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, single-pane sunroof on top, and pedals finished in black. It has one USB charging port at the front and ambient lighting around the AC vent at the center. Moving to the rear, the seats are split in 60:40 ratio and has leather seats upholstery. The Altroz has an 8-speaker Harman sound system.
As for the Dzire, it has a 7-inch infotainment system at the center placed below the AC vents and the AC vents are placed horizontally at the side. It has dual-tone dashboard option with pedals finished in black. The Dzire has a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel with analog instrument cluster, automatic climate control, and fabric seat upholstery. Moving to the rear, it has seats that is split in 60:40 ratio, and 6-speaker standard sound system.
So, from the outside, and the inside, the Altroz looks really good and premium than the Maruti Dzire.

The Altroz has a wheelbase of 2580mm and ground clearance of 165mm where as the Dzire wheelbase of 2450mm which is shorter by 130mm, and ground clearance of 160mm that is lower by 5mm. The Altroz has a boot space of 345 litres, and kerb weight of 1,115 kg while the Dzire has a boot space of 378 litres that is bigger by 33 litres, and kerb weight of 990 kg that is lighter by 125 kg. In the end, the decision to buy which model depends totally on you, however, it is recommended to opt for the Altroz given it’s safer, better in features, good fuel efficiency, and looks premium as well. The Dzire however is bigger in dimensions, got similar features like the Altroz, great fuel efficiency, and good space on offer. However, the Altroz is way safer than the Dzire given the Altroz has 5-star Global NCAP safety rating while the Dzire has 2-star safety rating, which is okay rating.
