Tata Motors will soon launch the facelift update for the Compact crossover SUV, Harrier, which will see it getting some big changes over the current version that’s on sale. But why don’t we compare the current Harrier against the upcoming Harrier Facelift to find out what’s the major difference between the two!

Tata Harrier Current vs Facelift – Design

The Current Harrier has LED DRLs and round-blocks on the grille with chrome line around the grille and LED DRLs that gives a spreaded-V look. Below that is the LED headlamps and fog lamps below it with chrome line around the outer side of the fog lamps, and at the bottom center of the grille, it has radar for ADAS, which you’re not able to see in the above image, but it is present in the updated variant. Moving to the side, it has simple look with wheel arches and rides on the 18-inch alloy wheels. It has chrome lining at the top and bottom window frame, and door handles finished in chrome. It has multi-function three-spoke steering wheel with digital instrument cluster, and a huge panoramic sunroof. It has two USB ports at the front, two in second row, and two in the third row. It has drive modes selector in front of gear lever, electric parking brake with auto hold, and buttons for the ventilated seats at the side of the seat. The third row has a 40:60 split seat and second row has 60:40 split seats.

The upcoming Harrier facelift will be getting the some exterior changes like the front face will look the same as the Harrier EV shown at the Auto Expo 2023, revised taillamps with an LED light bar connecting the LED taillamps. It will also get a new set of alloy wheels. The interior will be getting changes as well as like a sharper 10.25-inch infotainment system that would be more responsive than the current one, a digital display on the two-spoke steering wheel with haptic feedback to control the instrument cluster, new touch-sensitive display on the center console for climate control, a new gear shifter and rotary dial for the drive mode. The current Harrier has only one turbo diesel powertrain, which is the 2.0-litre Kryotec turbocharged diesel engine that produces 167.67 bhp and 350 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed Manual and 6-speed Automatic Gearbox.

The Harrier Facelift other than the turbo diesel powertrain, it’ll also get a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine producing 170 bhp and 280 Nm of torque mated to 6-speed Manual and 6-speed Automatic Gearbox.

In the Facelift, the features list will extend like the Multi-color Ambient lightings, updated UI theme, electric parking brake with auto hold function, powered seats for co-passenger, and in safety, it’ll get front parking sensors, and Level 2 ADAS features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, and many more.

The Current Tata Harrier starts at Rs.15 lakh for the base variant ‘XE’, and goes up to Rs. 24.07 lakh for the top variant, ‘XZA+ (O) Red Dark Edition Automatic.’ As for the Facelift, it is expected to be little high around Rs. 30,000 – Rs. 50,000 for the entry-level variant, and possibly could start at Rs. 15.50 lakh.
