Fortuner buyers, hold on – this upcoming SUV offers more features, better off-road tech, and premium comfort at a likely lower price.
MG is preparing to disrupt the full-size SUV space with the all-new Majestor, a rebadged version of the Maxus D90. Spotted multiple times testing on Indian roads, the Majestor combines bold styling, a feature-loaded cabin, and serious off-road hardware. With a length of over 5 metres, it’s set to become the most premium SUV in its class when it launches later this year.
MG Majestor – What to Know?
MG Majestor has been spied testing on Indian roads several times. It is essentially a rebadged version of the Maxus D90, which is sold in international markets. The SUV boasts a bold design that gives it a strong road presence. It features a split headlamp setup with sleek LED DRLs on top and vertically stacked LED projector headlights below. The massive blacked-out grille houses the MG logo, while the rear gets “Morris Garages” lettering instead of the usual MG badge seen on the Gloster. Other design elements include sleeker LED tail-lamps, a connected LED light bar, rugged skid plates, twin-spoke alloy wheels, and dual exhausts with quad chrome tips. With a length exceeding 5 metres, the MG Majestor is expected to be the most affordable 5m+ SUV in India upon launch.
Inside the cabin, the MG Majestor is expected to offer a modernised layout with a larger floating touchscreen infotainment system, a redesigned dashboard, and an updated centre console. It will stand out in its segment by offering three locking differentials, unlike the MG Gloster and Toyota Fortuner which offer only a rear-locking diff.
