
Hyundai Motors reported total sales of 44,024 units in June 2025, showing a 12% decline year-on-year compared to 50,103 units sold in June 2024. Despite the YoY dip, the brand managed to maintain month-on-month sales, with a negligible 0% change over May 2025, where it sold 43,861 units.

The Hyundai Creta continues to lead the chart, with 15,786 units sold in June 2025. However, it registered a 3% YoY drop. On a positive note, its MoM performance grew by 6%, indicating stable demand in the midsize SUV segment. The Venue, on the other hand, took a major YoY hit, falling by 31% to 6,858 units, while also slipping 9% MoM.
The entry-level SUV Exter saw a 15% YoY decline, with 5,873 units sold, but remained stable month-on-month. Meanwhile, hatchbacks like the Grand i10 Nios and i20 faced double-digit YoY losses of 14% and 29% respectively. The i20 also recorded a 7% MoM drop, indicating possible demand pressure in the premium hatchback space from recently launched model, Tata Altroz Facelift.

Among the few gainers, the Hyundai Aura performed strongly with a 26% YoY and 4% MoM growth, selling 5,413 units. The Alcazar also posted gains, rising 33% YoY and a solid 27% MoM, with 1,174 units dispatched—signaling a boost in demand for 3-row SUVs.
The premium sedan Verna saw a steep 43% YoY fall, down to 813 units, and also dipped 13% MoM. An facelift update is on the way for the premium sedan which will add few features and mild design changes, to help improvise the sales. Launch is currently expected by year-end. Hyundai’s flagship EV, the IONIQ 5, declined 60% YoY but posted a 9% MoM increase. The Tucson saw mixed performance—36% down YoY, but 22% up MoM.
