Tata Motors will soon be launching the facelift of the Nexon with new features to take the lead in the competition against its rivals – Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and a few more. Here are the five features coming in the Nexon Facelift that you should know about.
New Digital Instrument Cluster
As we’ve seen in other Tata Models like the Safari, and Harrier with Digital Instrument Cluster, the Nexon Facelift is definitely going to be getting a new digital instrument cluster as spotted in the leaks, which would be a 7-inch display with the tachometer, the fuel gauge, and the temperature meter to be digital as well. The Current Nexon has a Semi-Digital Instrument cluster and the Nexon facelift going fully digital is a big upgrade.
New Infotainment System
The Current Nexon has a 7-inch infotainment system while updated Harrier and Safari gets the new 10.25-inch infotainment system that is much more responsive than the 7-inch infotainment unit. Tata Motors will be adding the 10.25-inch display in the Facelift as many of it’s competitors has bigger infotainment system than the Current Nexon.
360-Degree Camera
Maruti Brezza is so far the only SUV in this segment to offer a 360-degree camera as it gives you a better look at the surroundings and helps in parking as well. Tata currently offers the 360-degree camera in the updated Safari and Harrier, and could bring it in the Nexon Facelift with improved quality and resolution to see those blurred details clearly.
ADAS
Times changing as the ADAS is quickly becoming a Unique Selling Point (USP) for the carmakers. Tata Motors offers ADAS in the Safari and Harrier only. However, there had been few reports that claim that Tata is testing the ADAS variant of the Nexon facelift. If it turns out to be true, Tata Nexon could become the first Sub 4M Compact SUV to feature ADAS. Like the Safari and Harrier, it could’ve ADAS features such as Forward Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Door Open Alert, Lane Change Alert, High Beam Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Rear Collision Warning, and Blind Spot Detection.
Improved Safety for Passengers!
The Government of India had announced that from October 1st, 2023, no carmaker will be allowed to sell the models unless all variants of that model has six airbags as standard. It’s possible Tata Motors will add six airbags in the Nexon and make it standard across all the variants. Moreover, it could add Rear Disc Brakes since the current Nexon has Front Disc and Rear Drum Brakes. The XUV300 is currently the only one to offer Front and Rear Disc Brakes, and it’s possible the Nexon will join the list as well.
