Toyota has been testing new Coupe SUV in India. It’s the Toyota C-HR that was spied undergoing tests in Bengaluru except it’s the previous generation model since the company launched the new-generation C-HR for global market which is already on sale.
Toyota C-HR Spied: What You Need to Know!
In India, coupe SUVs are selling quite well given the two affordable coupe suvs we have on sale is the Maruti Fronx, and recently launched Toyota Taisor; and soon joining the list will be the Tata Curvv which is set to launch in second half of 2024. We would love if Toyota brings the C-HR SUV to India which will definitely give a tough battle to other SUVs.

The C-HR Test Mule seen in India looks like the same one spotted 4 years ago. It was covered up, so it’s hard to tell what exactly they’re testing. But even though it’s fully camouflaged, it’s clear it’s an older model, not the latest one available worldwide. What’s interesting is it had a sticker from a company called Continental on it.
Continental is a big company that makes tyres and car parts. They have different divisions like Chassis and Safety, Tyres, Interiors, Powertrain, ContiTech, and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). The sticker suggests there might be a partnership between Toyota and Continental.
Whatever they’re testing could be used for current or upcoming Toyota cars in India. Before, there were talks about Toyota bringing the C-HR to India. But launching the old version wouldn’t make sense, especially when the new one is already out. Bringing the new version would be better to keep Indian consumers happy.
