Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to expand its lineup with a series of new car launches in India. The upcoming models include the all-electric Maruti eVitara, a brand-new SUV named Maruti Escudo, the next-generation Ertiga, and a facelifted version of the Maruti Fronx. Maruti eVitara

Maruti Suzuki had unveiled its first electric SUV, the e Vitara, which will be launched in September to compete with the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, and Mahindra BE 6. The e-Vitara, inspired by the 2023 eVX concept, offers two battery options: 49kWh and 61kWh, paired with front-mounted motors producing 141 bhp and 171 bhp, respectively, with a shared torque output of 192.5 Nm. Built on a skateboard platform co-developed with Toyota, it features LFP ‘blade’ cells from BYD and promises an MIDC range of over 500km with the larger 61 kWh battery pack.
The e-Vitara showcases a muscular design with a toned-down version of its concept styling, 18-inch wheels, and a range of 10 colors with dual-tone options. Its interior boasts a unique dashboard layout, featuring a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen, a 10.1-inch digital cluster, ventilated front seats, wireless charging, and Level 2 ADAS. The SUV also includes a flat-bottom steering wheel, automatic climate control, and premium upholstery. With three drive modes and safety features like 7 airbags, ADAS, the eVitara combines practicality with cutting-edge tech to redefine Maruti’s presence in the EV segment.
Maruti Suzuki Escudo

Maruti Suzuki is set to launch a new mid-size SUV named ‘Escudo’ by this year after the launch of eVitara. This new SUV will sit between the Brezza and Grand Vitara in the lineup and will be sold via Arena dealerships. Originally planned as a 7-seater, it will now be a 5-seater with more boot space than the Grand Vitara. It will share its platform and engines with the Grand Vitara, offering options like a 1.5 L petrol, hybrid, and CNG, along with the possibility of AWD. Key features may include ADAS, 360° camera, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, and a 9-inch touchscreen.
New-Gen Maruti Ertiga

Maruti Suzuki is expected to introduce new generation Ertiga for the Indian Market which would boast exterior changes inspired from the Invicto and Grand Vitara like-interiors which includes 9-inch Infotainment System and Sunroof on top. Maruti will also offer the new 1.5 L Z12E Petrol engine for the MPV which will help them achieve better fuel efficiency. A CNG Powertrain will also be on offer. As for Features, we expect Maruti to offer front ventilated seats, 360 Surround View Camera, Rear Sunshades, and Heads-up Display (HUD). Maruti Fronx Facelift

The 2025 Fronx facelift will introduce Maruti Suzuki’s in-house strong hybrid powertrain (HEV), expected to deliver over 30 kmpl, making it one of India’s most efficient compact SUVs. This series hybrid system is likely to use the Z-Series 1.2 L Petrol engine as a range extender, will also expand to models like the Swift, Baleno, and Brezza. Cosmetic updates, including a revised front grille and possible interior enhancements, have been spotted on test mules. While the current Fronx already offers premium features like a HUD, 360-degree camera, and six airbags, the facelift may introduce an ADAS suite for added safety and technology, and new features like ventilated seats.
