XUV 3XO is getting a new rival with major upgrades that may see a shift in dominance in segment!

The Mahindra XUV 3XO is all set to get a strong new rival this festive season as Hyundai gears up to launch the next-generation Venue in India. The 2nd Gen Hyundai Venue will bring major upgrades in design, features, comfort, and technology—making it a more premium and feature-loaded alternative to the XUV 3XO. With bold styling, more powerful features, and a fresh interior, Hyundai aims to raise the bar in the compact SUV segment once again.

Design Updates

The upcoming 2nd Gen Hyundai Venue (codename QU2i) will continue with its compact and boxy SUV styling but now looks bolder and more rugged. Spy shots reveal a new front look with C-shaped connected LED DRLs similar to the new Creta, new squared LED headlamps, and a larger grille inspired by the Hyundai Palisade. It will also get radar sensors and front parking sensors—confirming the presence of Level 2 ADAS. Other visible changes include chunkier roof rails, thicker body cladding, new dual-tone ORVMs, and redesigned alloy wheels. Some test models even showed a DCT badge on the fender.

The side profile stays upright with a flatter window line, enhancing its SUV character. At the back, expect connected LED tail-lamps, a black shark fin antenna, and a revised bumper with silver accents. A key mechanical upgrade is the switch to four-wheel disc brakes instead of rear drum brakes (currently standard only on the N Line).

Inside, the cabin will be fully refreshed. It may borrow the dual 10.25-inch display layout from the new Creta for both infotainment and digital cluster. The centre console will also be redesigned with new colour themes, ambient lighting, and a more premium finish.

An N-Line is also coming which will have minor tweaks in design with red highlights across the exterior and interior. Along with that, new alloys will be offered too.

Engine Options

The new Hyundai Venue will continue offering the same three engine choices:

  • 1.2 L NA Petrol – 82 BHP, 113.8 Nm, 5-speed manual
  • 1.0 L Turbo Petrol – 118 BHP, 172 Nm, 6-speed manual / 7-speed DCT
  • 1.5 L Diesel – 114 BHP, 250 Nm, 6-speed manual

This engine lineup will suit a wide range of buyers—from daily city users to those looking for turbo performance or fuel-efficient diesel.

New Features

The new-gen Venue will pack in several high-end features missing in the current model. Expected feature additions include:

  • Front ventilated seats
  • 360-degree surround view camera
  • Front parking sensors
  • Electronic parking brake with auto hold
  • Drive and traction modes
  • Rear window sunshades
  • Blind spot monitoring
  • Level 2 ADAS features
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Rain-sensing wipers
  • Larger 17-inch alloy wheels

These updates will boost the Venue’s appeal in terms of safety, tech, and overall comfort.

Final Thoughts

The 2025 Hyundai Venue will be a major upgrade over the current model, bringing in new styling, a modern cabin, and a long list of premium features. With the addition of Level 2 ADAS, ventilated seats, and a panoramic sunroof, the new Venue is expected to set new benchmarks in the compact SUV segment. As Hyundai prepares to take on rivals like the Mahindra XUV 3XO, Tata Nexon, and Maruti Brezza, the next-gen Venue could be the most feature-loaded SUV in its class.
