
MG Motors has revealed their plans where they aim to introduce a total of 7 new cars for the Indian Market in the next 2 years. The focus is likely to be towards the hybrids, plug-in hybrids, electric vehicles, and an update for the ICE vehicles.
7 New Cars for India by MG: What does this mean?
The SAIC-owned British brand, MG Motors plans to launch seven new cars for the Indian Market over the next year; the brand told this to a group of dealers who were invited to the Shanghai Headquarters days after signing a Joint Venture deal with the JSW Group – owned by Sajjan Jindal. On 30th November, the SAIC Motor and the JSW Group announced the Joint Venture deal and what it means is that the JSW now has a 35% stake in the JV as they have long-term plans for the Indian Market and are looking to enter multiple segment with multiple offerings.

The Gloster Facelift was spotted undergoing tests few weeks ago with expected launch in 2nd half of 2024, the Astor Facelift could launch in 2025 as the test mule of the SUV is yet to be spotted. Earlier this year at the Auto Expo, MG showcased various cars like the eHS, MG4 (Electric hatchback), Mifa9 (pure-electric MPV), a plug-in hybrid SUV, an MG5 Electric Estate, and MG6.
