Honda will be announcing the pricing of the Elevate SUV in September, but we know everything about the SUV and plus it’s build on the same platform as the Honda City, so we thought of comparing the SUV against the Hyundai Verna to see what’s different between the two cars.
Honda Elevate vs Hyundai Verna – Design

From the outside, the Elevate has a front grille with small rectangular blocks pattern on it with Honda logo at the center, LED headlamps and two round fog lamps underneath, a large chrome element that connects with the headlamps, and a flat bonnet with few cuts and creases. The bumpers are finished in faux silver skid plate. The Elevate share’s the design cues with the HR-V SUV that is sold overseas. Moving to the side, it has slightly flared wheel arches for a chunky SUV, chrome door handles, non-functional roof rails, and rides on 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. At the rear, it has a L-shaped LED taillamps with dual lines inside them, roof spoiler on top with shark fin antenna, and an indentation around the number plate housing.

As you can see at the front, the Verna has an LED light bar that spans almost the width of the car with automatic headlamps below them and massive grille with the radar panel just above the from bumper for the ADAS. Moving to the side, it has cuts and creases to make it look sporty as it rides on the 17-inch alloy wheels, a chrome line that runs through the bottom window frame and chrome door handles. The rear has the connected light bar going as well with slightly crystal additions in them, and shark fin antenna on roof.

From the inside, it has a 10.25-inch free-standing infotainment system with rectangular AC vents below and at the sides, and below the automatic climate control is the wireless charging pad and two USB charging ports next to it on the right, and below that is two cupholders. The Elevate uses soft touch leather materials on the dashboard, leather for the seats, and on the doors. The Elevate has a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel with 7-inch instrument cluster as well. The push start/stop button is placed on the left next to the infotainment system behind the steering wheel. Moving to the rear, the seats are split in 60:40 ratio and has 8-speaker surround sound system.
As for the Verna, it has dual 10.25-inch HD displays, one for the infotainment system and one for the instrument cluster, and Hyundai calls it seamless integrated displays. The Verna interiors will have dual tone black-beige theme and sporty black interiors with red accents that has soft-touch materials and a light strip for ambient lighting that goes across the whole dashboard with 64 colors options with addition of changing the color as per your driving mode option. Hyundai has integrated the front AC vents into the dashboard to have that horizontal strip run across the whole dashboard. The Verna also has a single-pane sunroof. Hyundai has added a new feature, an Switchable dial-type infotainment & climate controller where you can just press the right round button on the HVAC controls, you can switch it to control for infotainment system or for climate control. The gear lever is the same as the Creta with buttons around it such as ventilated and heated seats, electric parking brake with auto hold, and for drive modes. The rear seats has 60:40 split which can be reclined as well.
So, the Hyundai Verna looks luxurious and spacious both from outside and inside while the Elevate has muscly exterior and spacious interiors.
