For a very long period, Swift dominated its market. Despite numerous manufacturers’ attempts, none have been very successful in growing their market share. Hyundai made the decision to alter this and introduced the Grand i10 Nios.
EXTERIOR
The Grand i10 Nios sports a large front grille, as well as additional chrome highlights in the back of the vehicle. When you first glance at the Nios, these are the two items that will attract your attention. Swift, on the other hand, has a wide, rounded appearance and remains stationary. While the Swift constantly emphasises being low to the earth, the Nios has certain characteristics of the tallboy appearance. The outside of the automobile has a sporty flair thanks in no small part to the excellent work of Maruti designers. While adding new bells and whistles, the new Swift preserves the legacy of its forebears. The Nios shares a lot of similarities with earlier generations in terms of size but the Swift has definitely increased. But there are many areas where the i10 leads the Swift.

DIMENSIONS

Length | 3840mm | 3805mm |
Breadth | 1735mm | 1680mm |

Ground clearance | 163mm | – |
Boot space | 268L | 260L |
Wheelbase | 2450mm | 2450mm |
Therefore, when comparing overall size, the Swift definitely outshines the i10. Even though the i10 appears to be the taller of the two vehicles, the Swift wins this category. Swift is the best choice if size is your top priority.
INTERIORS
Swift is the first vehicle, and it has a predominantly black interior. Whether you enjoy it or not depends on your personal preferences, but it does give the whole thing an athletic feel. The steering wheel’s flat bottom and steering-mounted controls have a sporty, substantial feel to them. The large dials in the instrument cluster are always eye-catching and have a high-end, athletic feel. Although we shall discuss this later, the front row seats are broader than the Nios. This car has always emphasised riding comfort as a key selling factor, and the current model is no exception. Both the front and back of the car’s cabin are filled with storage areas.
Coming to the i10, as soon as you step inside, you are met by lighter hues that contribute to making the interior feel larger. Rotary AC vents and a partially digital instrument cluster have a premium appearance and feel. Even so, you won’t obtain the Swift’s level of storage.

FEATURES
The i10 has wireless charging, which is a first for its industry area. The 8-inch touchscreen on this device is unquestionably superior to the Swift and feels and appears much more upscale. Although there aren’t as many features as in other Hyundai vehicles, there are still plenty to get you by. The entertainment system is one area where Maruti might have made improvements. Although there are no issues, the 7-inch touchscreen seems stale. Both vehicles have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, however the Swift behind the Nios in this area. Maruti Suzuki’s segment-first innovation, LED headlights, is a pleasant addition. Both vehicles have standard amenities like defoggers, auto-folding ORVMs, digital gauges, and back wipers

It is easy to observe how these two automakers’ engine-transmission offerings differ from one another. Only an updated 1.2-liter strong petrol engine is available in the Swift, and it may be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The Grand i10 Nios, on the other hand, offers 1.2-liter gasoline, 1.0-litre turbo gasoline, 1.2-litre gasoline + CNG, and 1.2-litre diesel engine options. Additionally, for each engine, there is the option to select a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT gearbox. As a result, the Grand i10 Nios is far more adaptable and suitable for every customer need.
PRICING
So clearly the i10 Nios base price beats the Swift. But if you are opting for the top model, The Swift is more affordable. There are 3 engine options in the Nios for variety but the Swift has the tried and tested one.
