Tata Safari dimensions are 4661 mm long, 1894 mm broad, and 1786 mm high. A 2741mm wheelbase supports it. On the other hand, the Toyota Innova is 4735mm long, 1830mm broad, and 1795mm height. This one has a wheelbase of 2750mm. Given the measurements, it is obvious that the Innova, being longer, would provide significantly more inside space for the legs and the knees. Additionally, it would provide the cabin a little more headroom.

The Tata Safari is equipped with connected car technology, a floating touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, captain seats with Boss Mode, third-row AC vents & charging ports, cruise control, automatic climate control, hill hold, hill descent control, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and driving modes. On the other hand, the Toyota Innova is equipped with luxuries like a chilled glovebox, a foldable table on the seatback, and 7 airbags. The Safari also has rear disc brakes, whilst the Innova just has standard drum brakes on the back wheels.
ENGINE
A 2.0-liter Kryotec diesel engine that can generate 350Nm of torque and 168 horsepower powers the Tata Safari. Wheel options for the Safari include 235/70 R16 and 235/60 R18. Additionally, the Safari is offered in 6- and 7-seater variants. On the other hand, the Toyota Innova has a 2.7-liter gasoline engine and a 2.4-liter diesel engine. The diesel engine produces 343Nm of torque and 148 horsepower. The petrol engine, in contrast, produces 164 horsepower and 245 Nm of torque. This one just has a set of 205/65 R16 tyres. The Innova is offered in both 7- and 8-seater variants.

PRICES
Prices of the new Safari is likely to be announced in February, 2021. The new model is priced around Rs 15.5 lakh to Rs 23.5 lakh, which will make it around 1-2 lakh expensive over the 5-seater Harrier. The SUV will be offered in 4 trim levels – XE, XM, XT and XZ – and in total of 9 variants.
The Innova Crysta is available in the price bracket of Rs 16.26 lakh and Rs 24.33 lakh (ex-showroom). While the petrol version costs between Rs 16.26 lakh and Rs 22.48 lakh, the diesel Crysta is priced between 16.64 lakh to Rs 24.33 lakh. The Crysta is expected to be around Rs 4-5 lakh expensive over the new Safari.
